My family and I still miss him terribly. I guess it lessens with time, but never completely goes away. It was very helpful to me at the time to create this memorial site for him and I want to thank those of you who were very kind to help me with the grieving process. This site is a great support system!! I hope you are all doing well. For those who have recently lost furbabies, I am truly sorry for your loss. It does get better with time, although you might not think so at the moment. I know I will see Bailey again one day and I know he is not suffering anymore. A big hug to u all.

I was very touched and overwhelmed and I am thankful to have my Critters Family who has "been there" for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on .. when my own immediate family could care less. It was YOU ALL that kept my spirits up .. and .. as I have always said .. "If not for our furkids, I would have never met any of you" .. so I Thank all of our furkids who brought me my Critters Family.
Lauvern, I don't have to tell you how much I truly appreciate your friendship because I know you know. I cherish you for what you are doing for all these abused, unwanted and unloved furkids .. all in your beloved Luke's honor .. I'm volunteering my services temporarily.
If they're impressed with my work I'll be hired permanently.
I'm now working at an animal sanctuary
for dogs, cats, birds and wildlife refugees.
I'm working with problem dogs specifically
who tend to be vicious because they were abused gravely.
I've rehabilitated two successfully.
They're both now in loving homes with loving families.
When they got adopted however and had to leave
it was a very bittersweet experience for me.
None the less, this can very well possibly be
a true Labor of Love for yours truly.
I'm actually begining to feel happy,
so wish me the best of luck everybody.
