To me, a chatroom would make a wonderful place here for those who are mourning thier furchildren. I cant tell you how many times I have wanted to talk to someone over Pickys loss, only having myself to talk to during the grief of deep and devastating loss. I hope you guys give thoughts on a chatroom and maybe that will help us with the intense grief of losing our little ones

God bless you

Nancy, Pickys "MOmma"

Would be nice to have a Thoughts for Today room.  Just a spot to check in  for the day if one feels the need for a conenction.

I know I could use that today. it's Easter Sunday, the sun is bright and birds are active..bugs, flowers are blowing. A perfect day that Hobie would have loved.  My loss is heavy today.

I think that having a chat room would be a great idea as proposed by Annette. It would others somewhat greatly in that others could share their feelings openly with others that still finding it difficult in dealing with the grief that is attached to losing a loved one such as our beloved and cherished pets. It would also be great in the sense that we could talk to each other about our past experiences that we shared over the time that our pets were with us. I know personally I still wake up in the early hours of some mornings finding myself crying for snoopy as I have had a beautiful dream of him I together in this wonderful having the time of our lives. It feels so peaceful and when I find myself waking up from it I just crying realising that Snoopy is not in my arms or beside me.

I was wondering why Critters does not have a chat room? I think it would be quite helpful for everyone. There are so many loving, caring and supportive people on this site that they themselves have suffered a loss and yet are able to be so kind and supportive to others. If it is a matter of making sure there isn't any abusive language etc. I am sure many people here would be willing to monitor it for you. I myself used to host in some MSN chat rooms, there probably are quite a few here that have as well.

For many people, when they are down, or sad, or upset....it is nice to be able to talk with someone that is or has gone through the same thing. We send messages back and forth to each other, but it isn't the same as being able to converse back and forth in real time. We leave a message in someone's guestbook, and sometimes days later, it gets answered. I think especially for the healing process for us all, being able to share with others and get feedback at the same time would truly be very beneficial.

Thanks for letting me make the suggestion.

Corrie (Max's Mom)

How about the Joys and the issues of our new pets??? I see alot of people on this site that have gotten a new pet and are very happy but are having trouble adjusting to the loss of the old one or are afraid to fully enjoy the new one either because they think its somehow "unfair" to the pet they lost or they have issue with fear of giving their heart to the new one because they fear illness or loss of the current one.

I also think you should have E-mails on here, what I mean is that you have an inbox and your getting mail for others but I dont mean that you get your own personal mail, you only get  mail from people on here and have your own account.

I think they should make only 7 pics of your memorial, only if they didnt pay for the full memorial!

I think critters should have there own pet loss chat. So who ever has a memorial here will have acces to it and to get in the chat they can use there id. {;

I agree with Henry, Thank-you Henry!!! Although this is for our babies that have passed it gives me a sense of peace to help and make an animal that has been neglected or abused. I felt that circumstances surrounding my furbabies death were beyond my control and helping give a "voice" to these angels give me a sense of control back. That would be wonderful to have a page that we could all visit and help out, Thanks!!

It would be nice if it was possible to have a section listing for the neglected ,or abused animals such as Lonely Angel and Karley, so they can have someone to visit them.

I agree with what Amber suggested a few months ago, a list for our babies birthday as well as their Angel Day.  How hard can that be to set up, right?  Hope to see it soon!

I think it would be nice to have a forum on things to help our current pets to live a long life. Things like what the ones who's pets have lived longer than normal feed them . That is so important in these days of tainted dog foods. It would help with the healing I think knowing about the dangers ,and avoiding it happening again. I know I would like to know what some of the ones who's babies made it beyond their average life  expectency have been feeding them and whether they avoided certain vaccinations and other things they did that helped them live so long.I also see that many have appeared to have died from things prematurely and to know what they had been fed to possibly avoid it in another ones pet.I am very cautious as to what I feed my current  babies now. More than for myself because of things I now read and because it affects them first.  Henry

How about when  is it  time for another sanimal or should I get another one?

05-23-2008 7:48 AM -- By: Beth Framson,    Critters.com memorial:   Buster Framson Memorial
What about news items that of interest to pet owners, i.e., the article today for example about the lawsuits, settlements regarding the pet food problem.  From what I have read on here, several pets have suffered from the food additives from China.

Or information about things that have hurt pets that others should be warned about? Thanks - Beth Framson

Linda when you go into Bailey's website you will see EDIT as an option at the bottom of the pages on Bailey's site. You click on Edit and you then choose which page you want to edit, from there you are given the option of backgrounds. The holiday backgrounds are there. Good luck.

Does anyone know if there are holiday backgrounds being added to this site?

Discusson about various types of cancer in dogs. Including time of prognosis, treatments, and lifespan after diagnosis.

Before March 2007 - on several vet visits inquired about the lumps on her body. I was told to watch them and if there was any changes. The vet should provided a more in-depth diagnosis that it could possibly be cancerous and did more labwork and cultures. Be sure your vigiliant with vet and do not accept just watch the tumors. Ensure you read "Preventing and Treating Dogs with Cancer" - highly recommended book. March 2007 - Candy diagnosed with cancer. April - July 2007 - treated with 19 week chemotherapy and came out of remission before the last 4 treatments. Rescue protocol was not successful. Comfort care for her at home with Predisone and antibiotics. September 1, 2007 - Candy passed away in the early morning hours.
