I am stopping by to say thank you for always being there for me. Losing Lucki was one of the hardest things to go through and it is people like you who write in and let you know others are feeling like you do. It has really helped me get through it all, especailly when I lost two dogs within one year. Your baby girl is beautiful and this picture is priceless.

Dearest Michelle and precious Princess ... just stopping by on this Friday to say "HI" and to wish you a wonderful weekend. I surely hope it is enjoyable.

Michelle, thank you for the e-mails and reading about my baby girl Cupcake ... she will never, ever know abuse again.

Thank you again for helping out at Pasado's ... a rescue that I truly love to read about each week. Also, thank your husband for being so supportive of your efforts.

Sending you hugs today and always.

I was looking around and came by Princess and stayed a while to read everything. I just can't get over that photo, if she could speak she would be saying "I Love You" she seems to have that all over her face. I hope all your memories are as happy as she looks.

Dearest Michelle and Princess Baby Girl .... I just found out from Laura, Dale's mom, that you volunteer at Pasado's Safe Haven ... how wonderful of you. I often go to their website and read the news and just wrote to Stacey Mansfield of Pasado's about the video they had online about Angel .. and I let them know about Cupcake and Xander and Stacey wrote back.

Michelle, Thank You so much for volunteering at Pasado's and the love you give to those abused and unwanted babies .... you are a true Angel..... Thank You.!.!.

Sending you many hugs today and always .... tell everyone at Pasado's I say hello from way out here in the southwest ... Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Michelle, thank you so much for remembering and visiting Annie's memorial on her 2nd Angel anniversary. I am so glad you did because I then visited your memorial for Princess and read a few of your pages. I was especially moved by the quote in regards to saving one dog, and the letter from the soldier to the adopter of his dog. It was painful to read.. tears rained down my face. My Annie was a rescue and after she died I adopted Daisy another maltese who needed a home. My weakness is going on petfinder and looking at all the maltese who need homes. I actually was doing that in the last two days...ready to fly to Colorado and get a puppy mill female that had been rescued. My heart wants to do it, but my logic is telling me I have four furkids...I'd better think it through. I will pass on the soldier's letter perhaps it will inspire someone I know to adopt. I hope your Bailey's health is in recovery mode. My son and his wife have a golden retriever. They are stunning dogs and seem to be forever puppies in their personality. take care, Cornelia

08-20-2010 10:38 AM -- By: Mom,  From:

Hi Princess,

It has been awhile since I left you a personal note here though I know you know you are always in my thoughts. It has been too hot recently which you would not have liked. Since our furnace is old we decided to have a new heat pump installed in along with a ductless system which will cool some upstairs. I know you would have really liked that since you suffered so in the heat. If you had lived through the next summer I told your dad that either we had to get you an air conditioner or you and I would go to a hotel during the hot spells so you would be cool.

The new plantings by your graveside are taking hold and fairing much better than any of the others I have planted so I am hopeful that by next year it will be a really pretty little spot. It is nice now but I had a picture in my mid of how I wanted it to look and now it may just get there!

I miss you every single day Baby Girl and love you just as much as ever.

Thank you Michelle for stopping by on JoJo's first angelversary. I am always amazed and grateful that random sweet people take the time to express their thoughts. When I clicked on Princess's page I was mezmorized. Such a loving tribute. What remarkable dog and menagerie you and your family have had. It brings gladness to me.

08-18-2010 3:45 PM -- By: Patt,  From: Wisconsin

Michelle: Thank you for such wonderful words of comfort. Having just passed her 3rd month Angelversay, it's difficult somedays to think about her. I try to stay busy and the Dozer boy helps with that. I have met so many wonderful people here on Critters and their losses are as great as mine but they take the time to share their thoughts, feelings and comfort Gretel was a very special girl. She was so much a part of my life that is has been difficult to be without her. Routines that we do and she's not there but I know that you know those same feelings. How's the Bailey? I hope it goes well with her! Thanks again for your kind words. Patt

Michelle:

I read about Bailey and am hoping that she is doing alright! Princess was such a beautiful dog, as is Bailey. You have been doubly blessed by such sweet dogs.

Keep us posted on what's going on with Bailey, we truly care about her and you!

Thank you so much for honoring our Cubby on his 1st Angelversary. I cannot believe it's been a year. It's so sad, and I still can't believe it sometimes that my baby is gone. But Baxter has definitely made the time fly. Your Bailey sounds like my Baxter. A BIG CHALLENGE. Although very sweet and loving, even well-mannered at times, is like Jekyll and Hyde some days. He's a tough one to crack. We find ourselves comparing him to Cubby in almost every way, while there are so many things we do love about him, he is not our Cubby. But his personality makes up for that. I swear sometimes he's half human....he's a character. Of all the luck, the puppy we happened to choose to bring home, has seizures, which through testing and symptoms, is diagnosed for the time being as hydrocephalus. I was crushed when we first found out, however I feel that had we not picked Baxter for us, most others may not have been able to afford him. He's been more expensive in his first 4 months of life than sweet Cubby his entire life. He's doing well now, and hope that it's something that improves with age....it already has. Your pets are beautiful, and you are great people for taking care of so many wonderful animals. Thanks again for remembering our Angel Cubby.

07-22-2010 12:08 AM -- By: Bev B,  From:

Hi Michelle,

I just wanted to thank you for remembering my Klaus on his 3rd angelversary. Even after 3 years, it's still very sad on these anniversaries and birthdays. We still miss Klaus and Monie so much. I will always remember talking with you and sharing stories about Princess and Klaus. They were so much alike. The first year was the toughest wasn't it? I read your updates on Bailey and please know that Bailey will be in my prayers. I don't get on to critters as often anymore, but I do visit my Klaus' site regularly. I will check in on Bailey's progress and hope for the best for you both!

Just to update you, we did finally adopt another dog. We named him Ziggy and he sure has livened up the place. He's a german shep mix, but is really a total mutt and so full of life. I read on Princess' site, a quote that made my eyes well up with tears as I related it to having adopted him: "Saving one dog will not change the world, but, surely for that one dog the world will change forever." Poor Ziggy was a day away from being euthanized, when he was rescued. I guess the love and kindness that our pets have impressed on us, is what inspires us to rescue those that are without. This is the legacy that Klaus and Monie and Princess leave behind...

Take care Michelle and know that my prayers are with you and Bailey.
