"IT'S JUST A LOAN"
“An angel came to me one day,
A ball of fur in hand.
The angel gave the ball to me,
As we stood there in the sand.
She said to me, "It's just a loan,
For only a short time."
And she would surely return one day,
For the ball of fur wasn't mine.
I looked down at the ball of fur,
Two eyes stared back at me.
I fell in love upon that day,
As I held it close to me.
Years went by and my love grew,
As close friends we became.
I looked down at my ball of fur,
Life was never again the same.
No matter where I found myself,
My friend would be there, too.
Then one day the angel came,
I didn’t know what to do.
She said that now the time had come,
To take my friend back home.
I watched her leave with tear filled eyes,
As I remembered “It's just a loan.”

We were at Roberts funeral Friday and this big ol fat black lab came out of nowhere and came right to me! She was so friendly and reminded me so much of you! I grabbed her and hugged her so tight. I was teasing Catfish and told him I was gonna put her in the car. She had a collor on and was clean and well taken care of. I just miss you so much I believe you sent her to me!
I hope to get to come see you soon!
Hugs and Kisses my sweet girl! I love you!

Kia and I wanted to stop by and say hello and leave a poem for a beautiful girl and , see we missed your Birthday so Happy Belated Birthday Phatgirl.......
People keep saying “she was just a dog”.
she was the one who got up with me every morning, no matter how early, to help me greet the morning.
she was the one who stood guard over our home, our family and the loneliness of my days.
she was the one who acted as the best alarm system around, letting us know when someone or something was approaching outside the door.
she was the one who slept at the door to the bedrooms, to make certain everyone was safe.
she didn’t rest until everyone was home safe and sound.
she was the explorer who wandered through the bushes in the yard, hunting for bees or the scent of the woodland creatures that might happen by.
she was the guardian who would chase away those woodland creatures lest they harm one of us.
she was the one who came to lie on my feet or close to my chair at my desk, sensing the times when I was in pain either emotional or physical.
she was the one who looked at me with sparkling, happy eyes, a happy smile, a wagging tail, who wanted nothing from me except a kind word and a soft stroke of his head.
she was the one who never asked for anything from anyone except to just be near.
she was the one who cleaned up the crumbs or lived for that scrap of leftover supper.
she was the one who staved off the loneliness, the fear, the emptiness of a house .
she was the one whose only fear was the rolling thunder of a storm and who never wanted me to know she was afraid, but who would sit close until the storm was past, hoping for a reassuring pat or soft word.
she was the one who greeted me at the door when I returned from an errand, with a body language that let me know he was happy I was home, happy to be with me again, proud that she had done her job of guarding our home while I was gone.
she was the one who lived with her aging pain, not wanting to let go for fear of leaving me alone, leaving her job as my protector, my companion, my best friend.
she was the one who took one last look into my eyes as her's grew dim, looking to make sure I was okay as her life slipped away, worried that she was leaving me alone.
she was the one whose soft hair I stroked and softly whispered to that she was going home, that it was okay to let go, that I loved her enough to send her home to God to wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
she was the one whose grave or ashes is close by so that she will always be near to the home and the people she loved so unconditionally and protected with such loyalty.
People say “she was only just a dog To those I say, look closer and see the truth of who and what she truly was

a poem today.....phatgirl...tell your mom to listen really hard....
Hush now, can you hear the Angels singing?
High up in the frosty midnight air?
Voices ringing, singing, songs of Christmas,
Happiness for all the world to share.
As we count the days.....
filling all our homes with light and love,
Angels share these special times of gladness,
Celebrating with us from high above.
As the snowflakes float like stars from heaven,
Angels touch them softly, one by one,
Giving each one a gentle Angels kiss,
Snowflakes sent with love for everyone.
When we gather ‘round to sing sweet songs,
Each of us with heavy hearts,
In the sky, the Angels all sing with us,
As on the first Christmas long ago.
By our sides, our caring guardian Angels,
Look out for us each and every day.
So, however far from home we travel,
Loving Angels help us on our way.
When we help and care for one another,
High above the angels see it too.
Little acts of kindess,
makes all our Angels smile.
As dusk falls, our Angles fly above us,
Lighting all the stars up in the sky.
When you see a silver star shine brightly,
Then you know our Angels are nearby.
Angles sing their songs of love and friendship,
Songs about our happy times and the
Love and warmth that loving friendships bring.
As the daylight fades to gentle shadow,
Soft moonbeams shimmer, silver-white,
Tender Angels watch us while we sleep,
Keeping us safe through the moonlit night.
Hush now, can you hear our Angels singing?
The Sweetest songs of peace and love
From heaven up above.
Christmas songs of hope and joy and wonder..
Filling all our hearts with love…
Written by Claire Freedman, Gail Yerrill.
we are here...shinging bright both day and night...the christmas angels...
can you hear us sing?

Michelle and beautiful Phatgirl wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year,,,,,,,Your present is not in a box
There's no paper, no ribbon, a paradox
My gift to you was not my life
It is the world so big and rife
Open your mind and you shall receive
The greatest gift that I could leave
I am not the bird, I am the flight
I am not the sun, I am the light
I am not the tear, I am the rain
I am not the harvest, I am the grain
I am not the flame, I am the glow
I'm not the river, I am the flow
I am not a smile, I am the bliss
I am not the touch, I am the kiss
I am not the moon, I am the night
I am not your eyes, I am your sight
On Christmas morn the gift is there
All you have to do is be aware

Hi Michelle and Phatgirl,
I haven't been by in a long while. I just visited Karley and I remember visiting you in the past. You are a beautiful girl. I imagine you are having one heck of a great time with all your friends at RB. So much freedom, love, and happiness; not a care in the universe. Everything so perfect and good. Sending you our love, hugs and kisses Phatgirl, and hugs to Michelle.

Yea I know Michelle, I miss Smoky too.I know you miss Phatgirl. You would think that time would make things better but that isn't true. Time only seems to make things more difficult. We both know there is coming a day when I will have to give up "Peanut" and just the thought of not having him here with me breaks my heart into. I know that is how you feel about "Phatgirl." I look around and can still see Smoky lying here at our feet. Just keep looking "up" and know that Phatgirl is no longer down in her back but is playing and having a wonderful time until she sees her mommie again. Who ever put her out or simply gave up on her, did Phatgirl a favor. She found You!!!!!! And Phatgirl knew she was loved by "you"

Hi Michelle, I am sitting here on a Sunday afternoon and its been 253 days today I lost my Kia, I wonder if the hurt in my heart will ever go away and we heard back from cathy and a light bulb went on that I had not stopped by in a while to just say hello , been so absent minded lately .......she was a beauty and I love this picture of your girl what a specail soul.......To those that we love
In this world or the next
We are always connected
By invisible threads
Whether pain in the heart
Or sorrow so deep
Or hearts overflowing
With unspoken words
We must always hold close
To the wonderful thought
That nothing or no one
Can sever these ties
For love is the bond
And God's gift to man
And the unfailing link
Keeping memories close
So never you fear
If you're lost or alone
We are always connected
By invisible threads
