Thank you for your words about the loss of our Blue Eyes.  After reading your information, I just cannot believe losing so many "family" at one time.  I have started with reading about Simey and just cannot express my sorrow for what you have been through.  I think it is wonderful that you have shared your story with everyone because it also helps me to remember I am not alone in my grief.  I can tell you truly loved Simey as one of the family and as part of your "heart".  They have made all of our lives so enriched for certain.   God Bless you, Simey and all of our loved ones!

rememberMe with Love...
Author Unknown

As years pass by, and others rarely mention my name,
remember me with love.
take a moment to say my name out loud.
If tears fall, let them.
Wherever you are, know that I am.
I live in your heart, mind and soul.
Don't worry, you will never forget me
and we will be together again.
I have taught you many things
in a way nothing else possibly could.
Don't waste this lesson,
use the love you still have to give to others.
Comfort others who have had a loss, do it in my memory.
A little bit of me, lives on in each person you touch.
You have the power to make my legacy,
one that I would be proud of.
Light a candle, buy a rose, perform an act of kindness.
Our love is so great,
no remembrance could ever be large enough
to show how much you love me,
for true love has no boundaries.
And don't forget, I love you too.
Look at a puffy cloud, flower or bird and have no doubt;
my angel spirit is.
Contemplate the many gifts I've left,
how I've affected your life in a good way.
I've shown you how precious life is
and given you a greater appreciation of it.
I've let you discover how strong you really are.
I hope my short time here has made you discover what is really important
Has it made you a better person? I hope so!
Your faith has been tested, and hopefully it has strengthened.
I hope your heart is filled with peace.
Most of all, know that our love is eternal.
If you think of me today, I will be rejoicing from above.
To know you have remembered me
Remember me with love!

To My Baby Simey:  My heart still aches with sadness, secret tears still flow, what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.  When days are sad & lonely, and everything goes wrong, I see your face and you seem to say, cheer up Mummy and carry on.  Each time I see your picture, my heart feels if you could talk you would say, "don't cry Mummy, I'm only sleeping, we'll meet again someday".  I love you my precious and Mummy misses you so much.  I'll love you to the moon and back - Your Mummy, always in love with you.

Remember Me Always

Remember me always, but do not grieve for me too long. I have tried always to comfort you in times of sorrow, and have made every effort to add joy to your life. I never wanted to cause you pain.

Peace for me is certain now, and I suspect I will have eternal sleep in the earth I have loved so well.

Please, after your period of grieving for me, make room in your heart for another. You are the kind of human being that should always have a friend like me to love. Your kind and gentle heart should not be wasted on my memory for too long. Give love to another. I know your new friend will never take my place, because we had something very special.

It may not be quite the same, but a new devoted and loving companion will in time, become special in their own way.

You loved me very much and I loved you. My spirit will always be with you, and no matter how deep in my sleep, my grateful heart will always be purring for you.

The Rainbow

for Critters    as we all have lost beautiful souls

Feeling down in the dumps
no where to turn
the rain pouring down
upon a face.

Feelings are low...
standing here
in the pouring rain

A heart is broken,
Lord what can you do.
A friend gone away...

The rain has stopped.
the sun shone...
reflects, upon a sad face.

The bow came out...
in between the clouds.
reminded me one of God's covenant...

The colours of the bow shone so brightly across the sky
reaching from one side to the other..

As a prayer said for God's Grace.

The Rainbow is a sign of a Eternal promise.

Angel Wings

At the ending of the day when I'm weary
After a waterfall of tears have all been cried
And I'm feeling like the skies will always be dreary
Nothing's there to fill the emptiness inside.

I lay my head upon my favorite pillow
Just close my eyes to block all the sorrow
wonderin' where I'll ever find the strength inside-
to do it all again- tomorrow.

And then I feel it-
inside me.
I feel it-
around me.
Like a gentle hand just wiped away the tears-
and held me close to wash away my fears.

It's you, my angel, watching over me.
And I know no matter what tomorrow brings,
You'll be here to wrap me in your angel wings-
your lovin' angel wings.

The sun comes up, it's time to face the day
and I think that things are going to be all right-
But as the day wears on my nerves begin to fray-
I feel the hollowness that creeps in every night.

And like clockwork all the tears begin to fall
As I look at my reflection in the glass-
the eyes looking back at me make me feel small-
and I ask, my God, how long's this going to last?

And then I feel it-
inside me.
I feel it-
around me.
Like a gentle hand just wiped away the tears-
and held me close to wash away my fears.

It's you, my angel watching over me.
And I know no matter what tomorrow brings,
You'll be here to wrap me in your angel wings-
your lovin' angel wings.

Thank God for your angel wings

bringing Spring as I rise anew.
Dressed in Easter morning dew

I speak of hope;
I rejoice in You.

I am Lily fresh and new
singing of Spring as I rise anew.
For this sweet season of rebirth brings
A bright new life to all living things

May the glory
And the promise
Of this joyous time of year
Bring peace
And happiness to you
And those you hold most dear,
And may christ,

Always be there by your side
To bless you
Most abundantly
And be your loving guide.

Sending Easter Blessings your way...

Blessed are those to whom Easter is not a hunt...
but a find;
not a greeting...
but a proclamation;
not an outward fashion...
but inward grace;
not a day...
but an eternity.

There is a bond that you can't see
for it's not bound with twine.
It's formed from strands within our souls,
this love that's yours and mine.

When I went home to be with God,
you must now understand,
I took with me this bond of love
and I still hold that strand.

So look now at my photograph.
The smile, you'll quickly see.
But only hearts can see the strand
forever binding You and Me.

Enjoy the precious memories
although we are apart.
We'll share more joys again one day.
I believe that with all my heart!

When you're down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest nights.
You just call out my name,
And you know whereever I am
I'll come running, oh yeah baby
To see you again.
Winter, spring , summer, or fall,
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've got a freind.
If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
And soon I will be knocking upon your door.
You just call out my name and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, Spring, summer or fall
All you got to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you.
Well they'll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don't you let them.
You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don't you know that,
Winter Spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you've got to do is call.
Lord, I'll be there, yes I will.
You've got a friend.
You've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
You've got a friend.

Simey looks so much like our "Cornelius Brothers" did. I know that they hang out together and drink all the rich cream that they can hold.......

~I am so sorry for your loss Pam.  I am sitting here crying for you and the pain you went through!  Simey was such a beautiful girl!   I am sure she is playing in heaven with Maggie and Maddie!  Many hugs my friend!~

Hi Mary Lou...I haven't been online much this last year, especially the last 6 months.  I am sorry I missed Simey's 2nd Angel Day, I know how much you love and still miss her (but you know that she is always with you in spirit).  I don't know if I told you but after Pumpkin left us in September we got another kitty, Farley, in October.  We didn't plan to get another kitty so soon but the way things happened we think Pumpkin led us to him.  We got him from the local animal shelter, he had been there 2 months but now has his "forever home".  I still cry over my Pumpkin, Patches, Taffy and Angel...each one is so special in their own way.  I hope you are doing well.  Hugs and xoxo Joy :)

Remember Me This Way

(Mrs. Lyman Hancock)

When I come to the end of my journey
And I travel my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only the smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done.
Forget that I ever had heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun.

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought some hard battles
And won, ere the close of the day.

Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place where I lay,

And come in the shade of evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west
Stand for a few moments beside me
And remember only my best

The Bridge is There

I Will Meet You in the Morning

I will meet you in the morning on the bright riverside, When all sorrows have drifted away. I'll be standing at the portal with the gates open wide At the close of life's long, dreary day.

I'll meet you in the morning with a "How do you do?" And we'll sit down by the river, and with rapture, old acquaintance renew. You'll know me in the morning by the smile that I wear. When I meet you in the morning in that city that is built foursquare.

I will meet you in the morning in the sweet by and by, And exchange the old cross for a crown. There will be no disappointments and no body shall die In that land where life's sun goeth down.

I will meet you in the morning at the end of the way On the streets of that city of gold, Where we all can be together and be happy for aye As the years of eternity roll.

Hello, thank you for visiting our site :-)

Wow, you have a story to tell - I'm at work at lunch, and still need to go back and read it again, but there are two things I want to write that stick out right now -

I understand the crying, you lived with your precious Simey - you are changing your life without her, other people/things are changing because of this - it is a lot to handle.  My little Maui knew me well, sad, happy or whatever - she had more intuition than most humans I know.  She took care of me, she would come in the bathroom every morning after my shower for 'her bath' - I'd rub her with a wet cloth and dry her off - then she'd head-butt the door until I left.  Mornings are really a drag now.

The story about your Vet is horrible.  I am slow to start, but I have a story to tell about fluids, water, food (especially food-name brand) and how these items have/had signficiantly affected the lives of my kitties.  I would like to post other stories such as yours and try to make a difference.  If ever you would be okay with it, stories like yours are what needs to be told.  I hope I have the strength to finish it and get it out there - Simey's story just reiterates the need for such things.

God Bless.

02-16-2010 6:42 PM -- By: Skye,  From: NC

Mary Lou... Thank you for being so kind with your words and for taking the time to visit our precious Molly's memorial.  I greatly appreciate it!  I am so sorry that your heart is still so broken over the loss of your beloved Simey, though I do understand it well.  I still miss Molly just as much today as I did the day she left us -- though now I can at least speak of her with a smile and occasionally with laughter -- but I still have my days that are filled with tears, missing my beloved friend.  And I know perfectly well that kitties wrap themselves around your heart just as tightly as dogs do, as I have shared my life with both very beloved cats and dogs all of my life.  I had a precious 16 year old feline baby whom I lost in 2003 that broke my heart into a million pieces.  I thought I would never heal from her loss, even after I rescued another cat whom I love too. It took quite a long time.  So, I think I understand your love for Simey.  But after looking at Simey's memorial, there is definitely no doubt that she could not have been more loved!  So even though you miss your sweet little Simey terribly, let it bring you some peace and comfort in knowing that you gave her a truly wonderful life filled with more love and joy than any cat could have ever asked for!  And as for Molly.... I am sure she has scooped up your little beauty to become great pals with!  Molly was always very good with the kitties -- so loving, gentle, and patient -- and the cats always viewed Molly as their fearless protector who would always take them under her wing whenever they needed it.  So Simey is in very good hands in that beautiful, Heavenly place.... until you meet again.  :)
Take Care & Best Wishes,  Skye
