Hello Charles. As i was on the computer and just got done visiting Luke's tribute,i wanted to stop in and personally thank your son ,now Angel Sammy for helping to guide Luke's mom to where she has to be, as well as guiding her in all that was achieved in the past little while. I know you no doubt heard all about the achievements Lauvern was able to accomplish.. Words can not explain for the feelings i had in my heart when this was all done. I will forever be grateful to Lauver,Luke and Sammy as she says ,she could not have done it without  Luke and Sammy guiding her. There is a very soft spot in my heart for the Pits and i couldn't be more grateful for what took place. Thankyou Angel Sammy.

FLy High and rest easy. Angel Sammy

08-16-2009 10:13 AM -- By: Sue and Cassie,  From: Missouri and Rainbow Bridge

Sammy,  Thank you for coming to my birthday party.  Didn't we have a ball.  All the baloons, confetti and even cupcakes.  You really liked them.  We had so much fun chasing each other and playing just like we were puppies.  No more pain and suffering for us, no sir.  We are like puppies now running and playing.  We miss our momma's and daddy's very much.  At least we can still love them and watch over them from the bridge.  When they cry it makes us so very sad.  I hope them will realize we love them and will forever.

Charles, Sammy is such a sweet beatiful guy.  I know how your heart breaks.  Think of all the good times you and Sammy had.  That Sammy is not in pain and even though he miss' you he is happy to live pain free.

Hang in there.  You will be in my thoughts.......Sue

Charles,

Thank you so much for all the kind things you say and for the sweet words about my Baby.  I miss her so much I can't breathe sometimes...

I posted two pictures of Ruby.  I will put more up a little later.

I hope you're having a good day!

08-14-2009 12:12 AM -- By: Angie and Rocky,  From: Toronto/Rainbowbridge

Charles, Thank you so much for visiting. Your visits are always aprreciated.  It's people such as yourself and the rest of critters family that helps to get through each day a little easier. I'm so sorry to hear about Bob M.  I know Sammy and Gabby are watching over him now and all of them are watching over you through the rainbow that you saw.

By the way, Rocky says that they know that you love them to pieces and they love you too with all their hearts and souls. You're a wonderful dad. XOXO.

Charles, I am SO SORRY it took so long to write to you.  Life here has been very sad.

Thank you for remembering my baby's Angelversary and for ALWAYS stopping by to visit and spread such warmth and love.  It is truly appreciated!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Bob M.  What a handsome and gentle boy.  I know he is with Sammy and Brandi - taking care of them both!

I want to say hi to Cupcake too.  My, she has grown into such a beauty - just like her big red-nosed brother!  As you may know from Brandi's memorial, I have a red-nosed now too - Ruby.  I rescued her from the shelter (she was abused and used as a bait dog prior to being dumped when she was 1 week from giving birth).

It's so hard to deal with the loss of my Brandi - my heart and soul.  But, it's people like you who make it easier and lessen the pain.  You are such a wonderful and caring person.  Thank you!!  xoxo

Charles;

Thank you for stopping and helping me through the 1 year anniversary of losing Gracie.  Wow.  One year.  Some things seem so foggy, yet other memories are still so clear.  I appreciate the undying support of everyone here.  Today will be hard.

08-12-2009 10:23 PM -- By: Samantha,  From: Canada

Hi Cupcake. I am sorry it took me so long to reply to your post in Luke's guestbook. I have been quite busy at Luke's shelter watching over granny and the shelter.Mom fimally has some time to write what i tell her too. I have been making friends with all the new Pit Bulls . They are a little nervous of me and mom but that is because they have never been shown love, just as i never knew what love was till mom picked me up on the highway. Mom told me it was your brother ,Sammy and Luke who sent her out looking for me on that cold blizzardy day. When i saw her stop the car on the road i was running towards the car as fast as my cold frozen body would let me run. When she came out of the car,i immediately trusted her and it felt so good to get in a warm car. When she took me to the shelter,i met granny and had a nice steak dinner, granny cooked for me and then gave me a nice warm bed to lay in ,i begin to learn what love was. I only wish i knew what it was i did wrong with my previous owners. I tried to bring joy to their lives but i guess i was not good enough. I am now treated like royality by mom and granny. I owe a big Thankyou to your brother Sammy and Luke as i don't know what would have happened to me had they not urged my mom to find me as i was getting very cold and tired and weak. Sammy and Luke are truely Angels. I am now trying to convince the babies at the shelter that there are people out there who love us as we would  love them if given the chance. I am doing my best to set a good example for our breed when people come into the shelter. Mom says i am doing a great job. I know you have been shown nothing but love since your Dad adopted you also. We are two of the lucky ones.I wish the world had alot more kind people like your Dad and my Mom and Granny. I guess i have to sign off for now as mom is getting tired.  Sending hugs to you and your dad......nite nite. Samantha xoxo

Thank you for your kind words.  We are still in shock as Bo was only 9 and a very healthy dog.  Jeremy took the best care of him including brushing his teeth almost daily, and where Bo was Jeremy was and visa versa.  Bo had such a good personality, he was really one of the guys.  Jeremy raised him from a pup, a present to him from his older brother Corey.  I am sorry for your loss as well, Sammy is a nice looking dog.  I love his floppy ears.  I lost my dog Dude in 2004 and am still trying to get over it.  I feel better knowing that Sammy is in heaven with my grandson Bo. Thank you again.

Hi  Charles. Thankyou so much for visiting Luke's tribute and for all the support you have always given me. It is people such as yourself that help me go on doing what i do. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

Hello Sammy.  Thankyou for helping me achieve what i have been trying to do for a long time now. I know you and Luke had a paw in it as i could not have done this without you guiding me. I will go on helping all fur babies wherever i can and will always take a stand for your breed. Know that you are always thought of with love and i am doing all possible to help people realize that your breed does not deserve the bad rap they sometimes get. I love you Sammy Angel

Hello  Gabby and Bob. I know you are with your big brother Sammy and no doubt having alot of fun as well as watching over your Dad along with him. You are all loved.Gabby Angel.   Bob Angel.

Sending hugs all around.

I just wanted to say, what a beautiful story and what a beautiful soul Sammy is! Also, thank you ever so much for the birthday wishes for my Pandora. I know that she is having a beautiful day with her friends, including Sammy, as we remember her life here on Earth.

Blessings and love to you my friend.

08-12-2009 2:43 AM -- By: Skye,  From: NC

Hi Charles.... Just thought I would drop you a line  to say "hi" before I head off to bed.  I hope things have become less hectic at work and this is a much easier week for you.  Hopefully, you are not sweltering there in beautiful Sante Fe like we are here, as I know Cupcake loves to get out in her yard and play.  It has been way too hot and humid (and rainy) to walk the dogs here lately -- and Teddy overheats easily being that he has black fur.  I need to buy him a cooling vest.  Currently, all our pets (cats and dogs alike) are battling bad allergies and are on medications for it, as allergies are bad in this part of the country for pets and humans alike.  Maybe I will move to your neck of the country!  I have always loved Sante Fe and the artist's communities there.  :)  I hope you and sweet Cupcake are doing well and are enjoying the summer.  It sounds like you have worked very  hard on helping her heal and she has done pretty well, all things considered.   I know Sammy, Gabby, and little Bob are watching over both of you and are sending you their love each and every day.  Thanks for stopping by Molly's memorial.  I really appreciate it.  Stop by anytime.  I have greatly appreciated your friendship -- Thanks so much!   :)  Have a great week!

Take Care,  Skye

P.S.... Big Hugs & Kisses to all the Kids!  :)

Charles ,Thanks for stopping by on Kia's day.I have been a little absent minded lately   maybe its all the rain we have gotten, had no summer here at all,  the flowers are all going by and winter will be here before we know it  uck Kia loved the snow, ,,,,,your babies are always in my mind  esp Little Bob as he looks so much like a cat I had growing up, any ways you were in my thoughts so I thought I stop in and see all your angels.......

To those that we love
In this world or the next
We are always connected
By invisible threads

Whether pain in the heart
Or sorrow so deep
Or hearts overflowing
With unspoken words

We must always hold close
To the wonderful thought
That nothing or no one
Can sever these ties

For love is the bond
And God's gift to man
And the unfailing link
Keeping memories close

So never you fear
If you're lost or alone
We are always connected
By invisible threads

Charles, thank you so much for thinking of me and Daisey today. It's been a difficult day for me so far, but I'll get through it.

I don't come on this site very often any more, it's just too sad for me. So I wasn't aware that your sweet little Bob M passed away in June. I'm sorry to hear it, he was such a special kitty! (I mean, any cat who loves pit bulls has to be special, right?).

I hope you are well, and please excuse me for not keeping in contact more often.

Hugs from Hawaii, Laurie

Hi Charles and Cupcake, just wanted to let you know you were in my thoughts and to stop in and say Hello. I hope you are all doing well and settled back in from your vacation. Thinking about Bob M., and Sammy and Gabby, and wanted to leave this poem for your precious fur babies at Rainbow Bridge. Hugs to all.

Little Star

When in the darkest part of night,
I see a star shining really bright,
I remember that my long lost love
is smiling down from Heaven above.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,
I don't need to wonder who you are!
You've always shined so bright, from the start,
Now your light keeps memories alive in my heart!

Star Light, Star Bright,
Most wonderful star I see tonight!
Fondest memories I'll hold dear.
Your gentle, loving spirit will always be near!

Your twinkling light tells me you're in Heaven with Him!
Your quiet glow tells me memories won't ever grow dim!
I'll always miss you. You have a piece of my heart!
But with your shining presence, we'll never truly be apart!

A memory here, A memory there

A memory here, a memory there
Locked in a closet, or in the ocean air
Swimming against its tide, the current is too strong
Muscular waves of nostalgia, washing over us all

A memory here, a memory there
In the sway of the palm trees, or in the sunlight's glare
Approaching from the mind's tunnel, it runs over your heart
Leaving a deep print, haunting you every waking hour

A memory here, a memory there
In the scent of that perfume, or in an earring's pair
Blooms like daisies, a lush garden of green,
The soul reaches out; eyes are painted with sheen

A memory here, a memory there
In a guitar's thrum, or in a butterfly's flair
The rhythm takes you back, The colours bring tears
Under this vast universe, all we have is what lies here...

A memory is just a memory,
It can be
Seen, not held
Felt, not touched
Told, not explained
Treasured, not experienced again

A memory here, a memory there
Don't you cry, it cant always be fair
Close your eyes, don't be scared
Just look into your heart, those memories will always be there.

08-08-2009 7:35 PM -- By: Renee,  From: Minnesota

Thank you for showing love on Jake's angelversary day!!! It is a very difficult time. We miss him so, as you do  your son Sammy. Their stories are quite similiar, and it gives me a great feeling of comfort to know that fate can play out as it did in our lives. God knows what he is doing when he matches people up with animals or friends etc.  We are never alone. I am glad for the company of people like you, so caring... God Bless You!!! May you find peace in the company of others who are also enduring the profound loss of their beloved family members.

I know Sammy meant a great deal to you and your family; and he was very blessed to share your life.  The time we have with our beloved family members is not nearly long enough.  If I may, quote from a passage by Sir Walter Scott (I believe he sums it up quite nicely). "The final cause of dogs having such short lives ...in in compassion to the human race; for if we suffer so much in losing a dog after an acquaintance of then or twelve years, what would it be if they were to live double that time?"

God Bless you....

Renee

Hi Charles.  I just stopped by to visit with your babies.  Your new photos of Sammy, Gabby and Bob M are precious!  I hope you and Cupcake are doing well.  Today is Minnie's 18 Month Angel Day and I am feeling quite sad, but she is celebrating her day with a wedding...hers!  She and Christy's hamster, Hammy, are getting married at RB today (on the Pet Humor page).  I can just picture what that looks like, can't you?  Anyway, all of the furbabies are invited, so know that Sammy, Gabby, and Bob M are having a wonderful time with all of their friends!  Take care.

Thank you for your kind words on our Angel anniversary. We  lit a large candel and had a memorial service.  Oh my beautiful boy. We laughed and cried as we looked through pictures and told our favorite stories.of him. I have healed some, yet the void in my life is still there.  When a very special soul has enthralled your life, it just can't be replaced.  You know that because you had Sammy.

Rockie was rescued also!! I opened the front door one day and there was Mama and six puppies, plus Dad trailing behind. They were all walking in a perfect line, yer they were in the street. My first thought after my amazement at the sight, wast hat they would get hit by a car, so I took them all in. That was when I payed attention to the smallest of the lot.. He was very special. I kept him and named nim Rockie.

You loved Sammy very much. In this crazy world, it's nice to know there are people like you who care about the wellfare of animals and human beings.

Much love and Grace to you as you continue to heal and live your life.

Roberta

Hi Charles. I just wanted to stop in and say Hello As i  am trying to get caught up on my email ,etc. I hope all is well with you. Things are starting to quiet down now with all the guests i have had staying with me as well as all that was going on. All should be back to normal soon. I am back home now after having a great getaway for a few days. Granny sure helps me out by taking over at the shelter to give me the chance to get away for breaks. She is going on a 2 week vacation so i will be taking Samantha home with me nightly and Kayla is still staying in her camper on the shelter grounds. I don't know what i would do without all the help i get from friends, family and volunteers.I have truely been blessed with these "Angels on Earth" who i call my friends.\

Hello pretty girl Cupcake. I bet you were happy to see your Dad  when he got home from his vacation. Weren't you?.

Hello Sammy,Gabby and Bob M. I know you are all together and keeping watch over your Dad and Cupcake. Have fun with all of your friends and know you are loved and missed.

Sending hugs all around.  Lauvern ,Granny and Samantha.
