Charles, and Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,

It is always a great treat to hear from you and your gang, Charles, both your forever loving angels Sammy, Gabby and Bob M, and your beautiful Cupcake, and dashing Xander and Bentley.

I don't envy the weather you've been having lately, and am so sorry to hear about your sweet Cupcake.  I know my Brutus LOVED the snow, and as I've told you before, even though it's now more than 24 yrs, 7 mos (not that I'm counting) since my amazing Brutus passed, there is nothing that he did, or said, no look that he ever gave me, that I don't remember, and will for the rest of my life.

You're so right, Charles, we will do anything for them, but what joy and love they give us in return.

We're located just south of Philadelphia, PA, and it just snowed on Tuesday for the second time in three days.  We had two, record breaking winters here, back to back, spanig 2009 - 2011, and even the snow reminds me of how much I love, and miss, my little Cinnie.  Many was the night I shoveled the sidewalk three or four times so my little girl . . . she had back issues and we needed to prevent slipping and sliding . . . could go for a stroll, and do her business.  I miss that little girl so very much.

I know Cinnamon is great friends with so many wonderful angels, Charles, your Sammy, Gabby and Bob M among them, and it means something every time, but especailly at this time of year, when you and your family stop by.  Thank you so very much.

You are a caring, generous, loving and decent soul, Charles, which is why you are so loved by your babies: you share those same qualities with them.

Cinnamon and I will definately stop by prior to the holiday to wish you all well.  Again, I'll throw in a special prayer or three for your Cupcake, but I know she's get better with all of the TLC she gets from her Dad.

Peace & Love (and good health!),

Cinnamon & Bruce

Hello Charles, Sammy, Gabby and Bob M

Luna smiles ...  just had to share. Yesterday while mom was walking Lily and Opal she came upon 3 coins on the sidewalk, mom picked up each coin and looked at them;   5 pecos,  a penny from Canada, one US penny  ... as she picked them up she smiled knowing Luna was making her rounds to Canada, Mexico and also her mom. each moment of every day when the sadness falls upon me I think of a little girl that is waiting, and although the tears fall because I miss her, a happiness at times can be felt as well ... knowing their love surronds us still ... always watching, waiting and letting us know they are here. Sedning ((hugs)) your way and a BIG kiss to cupcake, hoping her leg bets better real soon, also a ball toss to Bentley and Xander ... may they tire eachother out so dad can rest and relax watching the stars.  Luan & her mom Nadine

Dear Charles, Cupcake, Xander, Bentley, BobM, Sammy and family,

I was just thinking that I needed to get to critters and post some entries! The past few weeks have been so incredibly busy I feel like I am chasing my own tail!

Cupcake does seem to keep your hands full all on her own. Having a limping dog myself I fully understand the frustration. I imagine Cupcake has just as much energy as Kit and resists containment. Hope she recovers soon.

We are pushing the doctor to have my dad admitted into Hospice. It has been a sad time and there is no real hope for better news so I will take each day as it comes and cherish the time we have.

My husband planned and beautifully pulled off a surprise 60th birthday party for me the day after Thanksgiving then took me on a short trip up to Canada for a rest. We had a great time but now I must play catch up and this is my busiest business season.

We have had a week long cold snap here but cold for us is not quite like cold for you. Our lows were in the teens and now we are warming up and rain is due for the next week at least.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I always relish a guest book entry, especially one from a very dear friend.

Dear Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent visits and kind posts as always. We have had snow  falling since the past weekend which ended with a storm yesterday. We  had a total of 18 inches of snow fallen in the past week but with the strong winds and blowing snow, many roads as well as city streets are blocked. The snow clearing crews have been working 24/7 since last Sunday only to have to start all over again today.Needless to say the driving conditions are not good.

I'm sorry to hear that Cupcake has hurt herself again. That poor girl! I know she will get better real soon with the care that I know you give her.

Sending along fresh hot coffee and Doris's Friday special hot cinnamon rolls to help get your day going. Have a grand weekend.

Hugs        Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

p/s Doris saw your post and said she visits Sammy everytime she gets on Luke's site but doesn't post BUT she will try and do better."Smile"

Dear Gerry, Blackie & Sammy .. I want to personally thank you for visiting and posting and your kind words.

It is too bad that the PB breed is banned over there .. because, in my eyes, it is in how you train and bring this breed up.  I have never, ever been rough and tough with them and show them pure love and in return, they love me back....unconditionally.

Gerry, as long as my health and body allow, I will always fight for this breed that I so love.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE ALL animals, but because the PB breed is misconstrued ... I will be "their" voice.

As always, thank you for visiting and please continue to visit .. I enjoy hearing from others from around the world ..and you in England .. makes it all the better.

Sending you hugs from here to there ......  Warmest Regards.

Hi Charles, loving Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,

I have been reading your memorial and have been so touched by your love for the pit bull breed. Here In England it is a banned breed but through your love for them I see so clearly that they are beautiful and wonderful dogs.

I strongly believe that through great love and care for them and a proper upbringing they are beautiful and loving dogs. It is wonderful Charles to know that there are people like you  who would take a stand for the pitbull breed.

By the way I am a constant visitor to and love this site very much.

Gerry, Blackie & Sammy

I strongly believe that it is how you love them and bring them up tha

Sammy, Gabby, Bob M & Daddy Charles,

Cinnamon and I needed to stop by this evening, before taking a day off for the holiday, to wish you and your family a blessed and joyous Thanksgiving.

Heard on the news and read below about your weather adventures, Charles, and had a laugh, and tear, to myself remembering my beloved Brutus.  He LOVED to play in the snow, snorting and powering his was through everything, but there is nothing he liked better than a warm bed!  Our angels surely do stay with us forever.

Anyway, I know Sammy, Gabby and Bob M will be well taken care of partying with the likes of my Cinnamon, that amazing Rowdy, and beautiful ladies like Princess and Molly.

So many beautiful angels at the Bridge, Charles, and I am reminded every time I visit of just how kind and caring you are to these amazing souls, the the humans left behind who love them forever and always.

Wish Cupcake, Xander and Bentley a happy Thanksgiving from me and Cinnie, too.

Hugs, peace & love,

Cinnamon & Bruce

Ah Charles, Luna looks on with a smile with Sammy by her side, Gabby and Bob M too...

there will never come a day you are not thought about and so deeply loved, Luna winked,  "you have SNOW!" Mom has a mild rain, but it's not Christmas yet.

Yes Charles, there are often times when I just stop, look, and listen ... I know there are angels among us. Sending great tiding of joy ... as each of the kids lift their paws and blow YOU a HUGE kiss ... ... remember, we are here waiting, watching, playing...  just as we've done before ... knowing one day we will see you again. All our love always, Luna & her mom Nadine, Lily and Opal too

Hi Charles:
Stopping by to THANK YOU so very much for the recent birthday greeting you left for my beloved Molly.  I have really appreciated your continued support despite my necessary absence from Critters. I hope you are feeling better and that Cupcake is too.  I also hope that your aunt is doing okay considering the circumstances and that they have at least been able to manage her pain and keep her comfortable.  I know this will probably be a difficult Thanks giving for you with your aunt being sick, but I still wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a beautiful upcoming holiday season.  Sending hugs your way.  THANKS AGAIN!   :-)

11-24-2013 5:07 PM -- By: Michelle & Princess,  From:

Dear Charles and furfamily,

Seems like ages since I have made a post so please excuse my absence. We have been trying to clean out the house (too much clutter) and I have rarely had a chance to do anything social between that and my work. I hope you and the kids are all well. I trust you would have told me if Cupcake's last surgery had any glitches.

Kit is still having shoulder trouble so I have an appointment with a specialist in a couple of weeks. Acupuncture and swim therapy have helped but he still relapses so I need a definitive answer (I hope) about what might be going on.

Today, on Marquisea's seventh angel day, I decided it was a good time to place her new gravestone.  The one I originally ordered was very poor quality so I went back to the company that did Princess's and had them make one for her. If you want to see it is is on her page in Princess's memorial, all the way at the bottom.  We also cleaned the Rainbow bridge as most of the leaves are off of the trees. Pictures of it are under the Rainbow bridge tab.

Our rainfall totals are way behind and the amount of snow up in the mountains is too. We are supposed to have clear but cold weather for at lest the next week. I hope your weather is not too bad for the holiday.

Take care, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and know I appreciate you from afar.

Just stopping by on this Friday morning with some fresh hot coffee and Granny's Friday speciality"hot Cinnamon rolls". We are in for a blizzard today so don't know if I will lose my internet or not as some already have.

Have a grand weekend and stay warm.

Hugs.... Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

11-21-2013 12:37 PM -- By: Dad,  From: Santa Fe, New Mexico

My Beautiful furkids .. Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M .. I haven't posted to you three in some time .. even though I post to every Sunday on my weekly tribute to you three.

The weather has surely gotten cold here and your sister Cupcake and brothers Xander and Bentley run outside and do "their business" and run right back in onto the king-sized bed .. just like you used too, Sammy.  How I will always remember that.

Sammy, as the weather gets colder and snowier up in Canada, please work "paw-in-paw" with Luke and let our dear friend Lauvern know that there are furkids needing help if you happen to know of furkids needing help.

Always remember that each of you and all your friends at Rainbow Bridge are very loved by me.  Always watch over us .. and please keep sending me signs that you are visiting us.

Dear Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for the coffee and pumpkin pie "one of my favourites" and we certainly need the coffee and hot chocolate this morning as it is COLD out there.

Thank you for your recent kind as always posts. I did post to you yesterday but I don't know where it went. Anyway have a grand day and stay warm.

Sending hugs across the miles.

Dear Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your kind posts, coffee and treats in the past couple of days. Much appreciated. The weather here has now turned  and it is COLD with about a foot of snow around. As you mentioned we soon will be filling up the shelter which is very sad but we will definately give them a warm place. I know Luke and your Sammy will be busy now and send me some signs as to where there may be furbabies in need of shelter.

Thank you for the the note to Kim and Doris and all the volunteers. I know they will see your post and appreciate it as I do.

I hope the kids are all doing well. We all had a chuckle about the king size bed with heated mattress pad and how all three of them enjoy that. All furbabies should be treated that way in our opinion. ..Cupcake, Xander and Bentley are very lucky kids but I know they appreciate all that you do for them.

Tyson and Dozer are not likeing the cold winds that we have had for the past couple of days. They wake me up to let them out in the middle of the night to do their business but when I open the door they are not sure if they want to go out in that. HaHa.I tell you it doesn't take them long to come back in and jump back into bed under covers. HaHa.

Sending Hugs across the miles.

Lauvern and all at Luke's "soon to be over filled" shelter.

Yes our precious angels will always fill our heart, the things they would do rest comfortably withing our soul as we remember with a smile the love we still share ... Luna walks right over to Sammy, Puts her paws around him as she gently tilts his head and gives him a GREAT BIG SMOOCH ... Mwah! .

Forever and always a part of us, till they are safely within our arms again.  Luna looks for a moment, then ponders in great thought, she jumps up with excitement as she lines all; the kids in a row, and at the count of 3, one, two, THREE ... they each blow you a kiss. Charles, and Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,

Thank you for stopping by to visit with Cinnamon and me earlier this week.  It's always a busy time for Cinnie around Halloween:  she loved, and looked oh so cute in her costumes, and equally loved bossing around any and every neighborhood kid who stopped by for treats.

It's starting to get a little chilly here, but nothing like out your way.  I have family in Colorado, don't know if I mentioned it before or not, but your part of the country is amazing and beautiful.  Good for the soul, I know.

Please know it is an honor, and something I look forward to, every time you visit. You are a very generous and kind man, and spirit, Charles

Bless your beatufiul angels, and Cupcake, Xander and Bentely, too.

Cinnamon & Bruce

Dear Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M....... Cupcake,Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your visit and kind post as always and Thank you for the compliment on my new page.

I hope the kids are all doing well as I am sure they are. Tyson, Dozer and all the shelter furbabies are still enjoying the days outside as we are still having nice days. The temps are above normal for us for this time of year and we still don't have any snow which is not at all normal for us. We usually get a snow fall on Halloween and it stays as well as the days continue to keep getting cooler in November. Not so this year. I know we will soon be getting the cold and with that we will be extra busy at the shelter. I wish that wasn't so but it seems when the colder days get here there  are always more furbabies needing shelter and I will certainly be on the lookout for them."smile".

I hope your weather is stilll staying on the warmer side as I am sure Cupcake, Xander and Bentley don't care much for the cold weather either.

Take care and know you are neverfar from my thoughts and spoken of often at the shelter.

Sending Hugs across the miles.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

11-01-2013 10:04 PM -- By: Carol Palmer,  From: Socorro, New Mexico

Dearest Charles, I am so sorry to have waited so long to wish you all the best. I guess I missed the e-mail last summer that told me that there was a guestbook visit from you. I trust you have fully recovered from those surgeries of that time, and that Cupcake, too, has recovered in full. My prayers have been with you all every single day, even though I have not been on the site for several months. It hurts so bad to see my little Missy, and my heart still misses her so. We have adopted a total of six elderly dogs now, two more this summer after losing Sweetie in the spring to kidney failure. It was so hard to see her go, especially for my husband. We adopted Jasmine, a big white Peke who looks a little like Sweetie, and little Tinkerbell, a tiny orange Pom, from Lucky Day Animal Rescue, just this summer. Check out their page on facebook. They are out of Colorado. There is a beautiful video there, not theirs, but they have it on their page, of a very sweet Pit Bull who was rescued by someone and there is such a touching video of the sweetheart with another dog. It makes me cry every time I watch it. It reminds me so much of what your Sammy must have been like in his loving temperament. I know you feel so richly blessed by the time you spent together. I know that all your Angels are very lucky to have you in their lives, and vice versa. We are going to the Doggie Dash and Dawdle tomorrow in Albuquerque, taking Tinkerbell, who is a little ball of energy. We will all have so much fun. Please give Lauvern my best, and please excuse my absence of words. You are all always in my heart, despite my poor correspondence. Love and hugs, Carol

Dear Charles, Sammy, Gabby and BobM......Cupcake,Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your visit, coffee and kind post as always. I will relay your message to Trina and Bud and I certainly agree with you, they are and have always been a great help to me. I miss them already and will until they come back in the spring. It has certainly been a joy having them here for half the year....... It is almost 10:00 Am  here and  granny just brought out the fresh hot cinnamon rolls. They are late for your breakfast but we are sending a few of them and fresh hot coffee for your coffee break. "Smile".

The temps here are still above normal with no snow around which is not normal for us. We always have snow for Halloween but I guess thats good for the kids that go out trick or treating. I had over 100 of them come to my door last night. I like seeing all the costumes and especially the little ones who can hardly walk or their parents carry them to the door. Of coarse they get extra treats from me. Ha.

Have a grand weekend ! Sending hugs across the miles and hopeing the furkids are all well and keeping out of mischief.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

Charles, I've been away from our Critters community for a while, but a kind and thoughtful (as always) note from our friend Bruce nudged me back ... I added a couple of long-overdue pages for my Roo, and of course couldn't leave without visiting Sammy's pages. What great news -- you have Bentley now! Such a beautiful boy, a great brother for Cupcake and Xander. How proud Sammy must be as the big brother angel for them all. I'm also very glad to see that you're feeling better. Hugs from me to you and all the furkids, keep each other warm this winter.

Dear Charles, Sammy, Gabby, and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent visits and kind posts as always. I have not been on here ,as although I am feeling some better, this flu bug doesn't want to leave me completely. I am now on my second dose of antibiotics for the sinus infection that came along with the flu. I hope that takes it away and I do believe it will..... The weather here is getting colder but we don't have any snow yet. We did have a dusting of snow a few times but that is all gone now. I know it won't be long until we have lots of it around...... Take care and I hope you don't catch the flu bug that seems to be going around....... Sending hugs across the miles,          &nbs p;          Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

Charles and Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,

Just popping in for a minute to pay our respects to your beautiful angels Sammy, Gabby & Bob M, and to wish your beloved babies Cupcake, Xander and Bentley well as the days get shorter.  As you know better than most people, Charles, looking into the eyes of your beloved trio will always be one of the warmest, most peaceful places on the planet.

I hope you are continuing to feel better, Charles, and that your family, and your dear kiddies Bentley, Cupcake and Xander, remain healthy and in good spirits as fall begins to settle in, and winter approaches.

Bless you, Charles, for all of the compassion and caring that you share with the Critters community on a regular basis.  It is and will always be a pleasure to have you and your beautiful angels visit with Cinnamon.
