There stands a special angel one thats hard to find
who celebrating his birthday with a valentine
He strolls the fields of the tall green grass never far from home
he lives within his masters heart who is never truly alone
he lives within his fathers smile and holds him very near
then showers him within his bond and loves him very dear
he roams the yelllow fields with Jesus by his side
holding his head straight up oh so filled with pride
he was taught by a master to be innocent and true
all the animals follow him beneath a sky so blue
they follow this special boy wherever he may lead
to nourish and to learn from him his most valuable seed
the seed to grow and to love within this magical land
a lesson from his father learned he would understand
that kindness is a valuable gift one to not be sold
that love remains forever near and never does grow old
that friendhsip and the times together will forever be
buried in his masters heart for eternity
This birthday boys special gift was given long ago
the day his father chose him alone lives within his soul
a bond like that cannot never break no matter what the year
his birthday is complete just knowing his fathers near
the day will pass time will go but never will it end
for the greatest gift he received was his father as his friend

Good Morning Charles, handsome Sammy,Gabby and little Bob M. Thank you for coffee and lemon bars. Much appreciated as I slept in this morning. I don't know why Toby or Tyson didn't wake me up as either one or the other always does about ten minutes after the alarm goes off.  I think they were both lazy this morning as we had company last night . A friend of mine came over and brought her Boxer "Clyde" with her. The three of them played from the time Clyde got to our place until he left. I am sure they were all played out after running and playing tag or whatever they were playing for over two hours. HaHa.

You are very welcome for Sammy's BD pictures. I am sure all the Bridge kids are planning a wonderful day in honor of Sammy's birthday at Rainbow Bridge tomorrow.

Have a good day.

Sending hugs as always.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

02-10-2012 3:44 PM -- By: Dad,  From: Santa Fe, New Mexico

My Dearest Son Sammy ... oh how time is passing ... and your birthday will be next Tuesday.  How I remember the day I was on a Sunday drive on Valentine's Day .. by the Santa Fe Race Track .. and there you were .. on the side of the road just looking .. and I saw you as I passed and I looked in my rear-view mirror and you were looking at me pass .. I stopped and how you can running into my open door .. and from that day .. it was pure bliss, love and devotion for both of us.

Oh, Sammy, what can I say but .. I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH.  If not for you, son, I know I would not be here today .. so I give my life to you.  Thank You for your love, devotion and loyalty to me for fifteen (15) wonderful years.  Always know you stole my heart from the very second you jumped in my car .....

Son, know that I miss you every single day of my life.  Though your sister Cupcake and brother Xander have filled that void you left ... I love them very, very much .. but I love you just as much.  You were NOT replaced ... you sent me Cupcake and Xander .. I KNOW YOU HAD A "paw" in that, son, and I thank you for that.

You knew that your dad was so sad when you had to leave .. and you sent them to me.  Cupcake and Xander always hear about you .. and they sit and hear me .. and turn their heads as if they know .. and perhaps they do, because they both go to your little "dog-house urn" and look at it ... they know you are always with us.

Sending you early HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes .. because next Tuesday will be a bit sad .. but I will always visit you on your birthday.  Love Dad.

Charles, greetings to you and all the furbabies up north from sunny Socorro (but still cold.) I noticed from earlier postings that you're not feeling well. Hope you are much better now. I had a cold/allergies for the past week, and am now feeling so much better. Was hoping my husband wouldn't get it. You left me your e-mail address on your last post, but Critters took it out, won't let those go through. I will try to figure out another way. If you're on Facebook, I left my FB address on Missy's page at the bottom. Bless you and Happy Weekend!!! Hugs, Carol

Top 'O the morning to my friends in NM,

It is always a joy to see a guestbook post from a good friend. Our weather has gone from winter to spring in just a few weeks. We had sun for 3 days and now the rain is back. No matter we will still have fun hiking today. Take care and do not work too hard. ((()))

Good Morning Charles, handsome Sammy,Gabby and little Bob M. Stopping by with fresh hot coffee to help get our day going. It is cold and windy here today so I certainly need the coffee. I have three high school kids coming in for the day as well as tomorrow and Friday. They are doing this for extra credits on their school program which I certainly appreciate as they are alot of help to me as well. I certainly appreciate it when the school asks me if I the shelter can be put on the list for volunteer credits where the students get a choice as to where they want to put in volunteer hours for extra credits.

Have a good day.

Hugs

I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by my Sami's page on his angel day. I appreciate you care. I read here about your wonderful dog Sammy and losing him. I cried many tears as I read all this. He was such a handsome boy! My heart goes out to you, I understand your loss and pain. Sending love and big hug to you, Laura

Good morning, Charles and precious Sammy...both Minn and I want to thank you for stopping by yesterday, Minnie's 4th Angel Day at RB...sometimes it feels like yesterday, while other days it feel like we lost our furbabies an eternity ago...

I would also like to thank you for your friendship as well...we are all bound together by our shared loss...it helps me tremendously to be able to talk about Minnie with others who understand where I am coming from.  I will forever remember that you were one of the first to visit Minnie's memorial when I created it, and your words were such a comfort to me during that terrible time.  I just know that Minnie is now playing with Sammy, Gaby and Bob M...none of our babies are alone, for they have so many wonderful friends!

HUGS!  Stacy and Minn-Minn

Good Evening Charles, handsome Sammy,Gabby and little Bob M.

Thank you for the coffee and macadamia cookies this morning. "Yum yum". Much appreciated as the weather has gotten cold and windy again which makes it harder to get out of bed early to make coffee. One never knows what to wear when going out in the morning as it is spring one day and winter the next. We have no snow left but it certainly got cold.

I hope all is well out your way and that the fur kids are doing well as I am sure they are.We had a busy day today so I think I need some rest. HaHa.

Have a good night.

Sending hugs as always.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

Charles and Sammy, thank you for visiting my Trigger memorial.  I miss her terribly and it is very helpful to have others understand.  I know Sammy and Trigger are probably good friends breaking the barrier between doggy and kitty:)

02-03-2012 11:07 AM -- By: Lauvern,  From:

Hi Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M. Thank you for coffee this morning as it was much appreciated. The fog was so thick this morning while on my way to the shelter, its a good thing I know the road well as I couldn't see a thing. Even having my fog lights on didn't help. They said on radio that it was zero visibility which was certainly true. What normally takes me about 45 minutes to get to the shelter, took an hour and a half today. I took it slow as I could not see the sides of the roads and of coarse where there is always quite a bit of traffic, there was none today so I couldn't follow any tire tracks. It was a guessing game to be sure. Anyway I am here now and the fog is starting to lift.

Kim is back now so I will have a shorter day which will allow me to go shopping for supplies and "treats" of coarse.

Have a great day and a grand weekend. Stay safe in that wild snow storm. Its a good idea that you had restrained the kids as Cupcake could certainly hurt herself again in that deep snow. It is better to be safe then sorry.Sending hugs as Always.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

P/S Doris and Kim send their regards and hope all is well out your way as well as ask that you be careful on the no doubt slippery roads. I haven't seen Lawrence yet this morning but he will be down here later this afternoon. Hugs

Hi Charles!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you are doing well.  It is so strange that you have been hit with so much winter weather this year, while we have basically had none (which is quite the opposite from the past 2 years when we were absolutely buried in snow!).  However, we have had several tornados here in the mountains and have had endless rain for days at times -- I thought we were going to need to build an ark!  We have had daffodils sprouting since before Christmas (and some are now about to bloom), and I actually spotted a yellow jacket buzzing around last weekend (in January!).  Also, my ponds are filled with frogs who are swimming around, loudly croaking, and who are mating already!  It definitely doesn't seem like winter, that's for sure!  But I sure did not miss shoveling snow this year -- especially since I have still been trying to heal a fractured foot & ankle since October.  But winter still may be on its way, who knows!  My poor dog, Teddy, is pretty bummed though, as he absolutely loves to play in the snow -- and he has been very unimpressed with the constant downpouring of rain.  Well, I hope your weather improves and I do wish you good luck with the legislature.  I hope you were able to maybe make some good and helpful contacts in that regard.  Sending you and your precious furkids my very best wishes.  Hope the rest of your week goes well and have a great weekend!   :)

Samy and Charles thank you so much for stopping by on MR Cloudy's 3rd Angelersary, even with it being 3 years it seems  as if he just went to rainbow bridge yesterday, it was a day of tears and thoughts oh how I miss my dearest friend. I am sure he is just as happy as I am that friends have stopped by on his 3rd angelversary. so very thoughtful.

Take Care
