Hello Charles, stopping by to say hello and to take a peak at your Fur-Babies. Big hugs to all.

07-29-2010 11:48 AM -- By: Lauvern,  From:

Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by and your kindness as always. Yes we were quite fortunate not to have any damage from the tornado. We went out and looked where it hit and "WOW" there were roofs blown off as well as many huge trees uprooted. To say the least there was alot of damage. Many businesses in the area are closed to repair damages.

How proud you must be of your precious Cupcake and Xander to be asked to attend the PitBull Rumble. I am sure they will be trated like royality there.

We have been busy trying to catch up with yard work around both the shelter and home. I will be happy when it is all done.

Sending hugs all around.

My Dearest and Beloved Sammy, Gabby and Bob M .... Dad just wanted to tell you that I got a call from the Valencia County Humane Society .. where Cupcake was dumped off and Xander too ... inviting me, Cupcake and Xander .. again .. to the 2010 Pitbull Rumble.

How awesome is that.  Because of Cupcake, they started this PB Rumble several years ago ... so she's the mascot of the PB Rumble.  I am so proud of your sister and also of your little brother.

Please always watch over them ... guide them and teach them the good things ... not the bad ... OK.   Always know that your daddy loves and misses each of you so much.

Charles - Thank you for visiting Stormy's memorial.  As you can imagine, it's a rough time right now, and I'm grateful and amazed that people like you have taken the time to leave your kind message.

My condolences to you for your beloved Sammy.  I'm so sorry for your loss, and it was wonderful for you to so lovingly care for him.

We think Stormy had some pitbull heritage, and I have met many sweet and gentle pitbulls.  I agree with you that it is the humans, not the dogs, who create problem dogs.  Thank you on their behalf for being such a loving pet parent.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts and words.  I know our furry loved ones are waiting patiently for us.....

Melinda

Hi Charles and precious kids... thanks for your visit! I am so glad to hear your Aunt is back home and feeling better. I am sure that has to be a huge relief. Your precious angels, Sammy, Gabby and Bob certainly heard your prayers and answered them. All is well here, but just continues to be very hot. We are headed to the coast this weekend, and the temps are usually much cooler there, so am looking forward to that. It will be Juji's first time to see the ocean and I'm hoping she enjoys running and playing on the beach!

Keeping you and your aunt in my prayers, Charles and sending special thoughts your way. Hugs to all, Gina, Saada and Juji

Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by and your kindness as always. I am happy to hear your Aunt is back home and doing well. Things are slowly getting back to normal here . It was nice to get away and visit friends and family but work seems to always wait for us back home. Ha-Ha, Oh well,we will get it done. Thank goodness for friends and family helping out. We had a wild storm go through here last night and a tornado had touched down twenty miles away from here but missed us. I know our Angels were watching over us. W are going to take a ride up there tomorrow and see the damage it has done. It has cooled down here today which is a relief after the extreme heat and high humidity in the past two  days. I hope you have gotten the rain that you have so badly needed. I was going to send you some of the rain we were getting here last week as it just poured for two days and nights. It came down in buckets. I was about to bring out the boat and hip waders, Ha-Ha.

Have a great week.

Sending hugs to all.

Dear Charles, sweet Sammy, Gabby & Bob M and the rest of the gang,   Thankyou for your nice visit to us.  Yes, we are on the road and will be heading back in couple days.  We will have covered over 2,000 miles when we return.  We are visiting family and friends we have not seen in awhile.  In the S Dakota (Mt. Rushmore) and Nebraska regions.  Yes, Deadwood is nice little town.  My husband grew up there during his elementary years, so as we went through he and his sister were reminiscing on where different stores, schools, etc. used to be located.  And a few are still in their original locations.  Wow, lots of gambling revenue there.  Also, some skiing, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, etc. Just lots of outdoor recreational areas.  I don't think i would want to live on one of those slopes, though...lol   Yes, Spearfish canyons pretty area (and the black hills too)  They have done alot with it in the way of more development, but guess it was pretty also back in the day before commercialism too.

Charles, I saw somewhere about your Aunt and I hope she is doing better.  That's wonderful you are able to help her.  I am sure Sammy and the other angels are watching over her.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care,  glenise & daisy

Hi Charles, Sammy, Gabby and Little Bob M. Just visiting some of the furry friends at Critters. I've had a really busy month so I haven't gotten to visit many of the new Critters friends of birthdays or angel days. So, I figure i should at least visit Ginger and some of her regular visitors. Thank you for being there and caring for the furry friend like you do. Especially those ornry rotten but sweet and precious bullies. Kent & Ginger

Hi Charles, I just wanted to thank you for visiting my Klaus on his 3rd angelversary. I apologize for not responding sooner, but even after 3 years, it was still sad for me as I recalled that day I had to let my boy go. It's hard when you miss them so much. Your Sammy was a handsome guy. Pit Bulls make wonderful pets despite being given a bad rep because of bad owners.  Your rescue of Sammy reminded me of when I rescued a Pit on the side of the road on my way to Vegas - we named him Elvis. He was only too happy and relieved to find a warm car to snuggle up in.  We ended up bringing him back with us and shortly after, found him a good home. He was always a sweet dog and always remembered us with kisses when we would visit him.  You were a great Dad to Sammy and he was so blessed to have you in his life!

What a gorgeous boy.  I have no doubt that he and Hershey are fast friends at the Bridge.  What a beautiful life Sammy had, surrounded by such love.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful bond.

Hi Charles... Thanks for stopping by.  I know what you mean -- It is hotter than Hades here too and we have seen very little rain this summer.  It sure is a big difference from last summer when we were ready to build an ark!  I am trying hard not to complain too much about the extreme oppressive heat, because before you know it we will be back to shoveling snow again!  And they keep saying here that we are in for another really bad winter, especially judging by the way the fruit & nut trees are all so heavily laden with fruit here -- they say that is Mother Nature's way of feeding the animals before a harsh winter hits.  YIKES!  Every time I see that snow shovel in the garage I just cringe thinking of last winter!  But at least Teddy will be happy -- he just loves the snow and the cooler weather, far better than the hot summertime.  By the way, I saw your July 2nd signs page and I had to laugh because the pics of Cupcake & Xander with their eyes squinted closed reminded me of Teddy, as I have several pics of him looking just like that.  I thought the sign Sammy sent you was wonderful and I certainly believe in that, as I had several nearly identical experiences like that myself the 1st year to year and half after Molly passed away.  Signs are probably all round us on a regular basis that we never even notice, but it sure is wonderful when a whopper of a sign like that comes thru once in a while, that's for sure.  :)  Well, I do hope you have a great week.  I send my best wishes you and to all of your precious furkids.
