Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by and your kind words as always. we have all the cement pouring done and now the shelter grounds are 100% dig proof. We had a 16ft. lenght of fencing that was not dig proofed as it is behind the trees and on the other side of the pond. Until a couple of weeks ago , i did not think any of the shelter fur babies went on the other side of the pond BUT i found out different just before we left on vacation as six of the shelter dogs and my Tyson and Samantha decided to go exploring the grounds and see what was on the other side of the pond. One of them, i am not sure who, decided to dig out and they all got out.Needless to say ,the search was on. As i called for Tyson and Samantha, they barked but i didn't know where it was coming from. I got on the quad as well as everyone was out looking and i found them all on the other side of the pond in the bush. I believe they were lost and didn't know how to come back as they sure were happy to see me. ha-ha-ha.All is good now and the grounds are completely dig proofed as well as the gate into the grounds has a alarm system in place. Anyone coming to the shelter has to call and have us unlock the gates. I don't know how much safer i can make it. Ha_Ha.

We are under a sever storm warning again with tornadoes possible. I think i would rather shovel snow. Ha-Ha.

Take care.

Sending hugs all around.

Hi Charles, handsome guy, Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,  We just returned from our trip about 3 days ago and am still trying to catch up on posts. We had a wonderful time and now have to try and get back to some form of routine as school will be starting up here again soon. We are still unpacking and trying to get organized here, if you can believe

Thankyou for your visits to daisy's and your kind compliments on her "Rest of the Story" pg.  That was probably one of the hardest things i ever had to do. Was just like re-living it. Yes, i saw where you used a chest harness on Sammy his last year and I did that to help support Daisy and yes, just as you, we were out in the blizzards of winter, the last year, so she could use bathroom and get some fresh air. Lots of similarities. Even have tears welling up as i write this now.

Charles, i love your story of how you and your son Sammy met. Just a really wonderful story and almost like he was waiting there for you.  Yes, i agree with what you said on Sammy's pg...we often think we are taking them in and giving them a good home, but in the end, we realize, as you said in your is they who are rescuing us.  Bless you and your babies, my friend,  glenise & daisy

Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by with Birthday wishes for KC and your kind words as always. Yes i am getting back into the swing of things finally. We will be pouring cement all weekend . By the time we are finished ,i will be able to call myself a cement contractor, Ha-Ha ,that's if Byron doesn't  fire me first. The weather looks like it will be favorable for pouring cement so we should have it finished over the weekend.

Have a great weekend.

Sending hugs all around.

Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by and your kindness as always. Yes we were quite fortunate not to have any damage from the tornado. We went out and looked where it hit and "WOW" there were roofs blown off as well as many huge trees uprooted. To say the least there was alot of damage. Many businesses in the area are closed to repair damages.

How proud you must be of your precious Cupcake and Xander to be asked to attend the PitBull Rumble. I am sure they will be trated like royality there.

We have been busy trying to catch up with yard work around both the shelter and home. I will be happy when it is all done.

Sending hugs all around.

My Dearest and Beloved Sammy, Gabby and Bob M .... Dad just wanted to tell you that I got a call from the Valencia County Humane Society .. where Cupcake was dumped off and Xander too ... inviting me, Cupcake and Xander .. again .. to the 2010 Pitbull Rumble.

How awesome is that.  Because of Cupcake, they started this PB Rumble several years ago ... so she's the mascot of the PB Rumble.  I am so proud of your sister and also of your little brother.

Please always watch over them ... guide them and teach them the good things ... not the bad ... OK.   Always know that your daddy loves and misses each of you so much.

Charles - Thank you for visiting Stormy's memorial.  As you can imagine, it's a rough time right now, and I'm grateful and amazed that people like you have taken the time to leave your kind message.

My condolences to you for your beloved Sammy.  I'm so sorry for your loss, and it was wonderful for you to so lovingly care for him.

We think Stormy had some pitbull heritage, and I have met many sweet and gentle pitbulls.  I agree with you that it is the humans, not the dogs, who create problem dogs.  Thank you on their behalf for being such a loving pet parent.

Thanks again for your kind thoughts and words.  I know our furry loved ones are waiting patiently for us.....

Hi Charles and precious kids... thanks for your visit! I am so glad to hear your Aunt is back home and feeling better. I am sure that has to be a huge relief. Your precious angels, Sammy, Gabby and Bob certainly heard your prayers and answered them. All is well here, but just continues to be very hot. We are headed to the coast this weekend, and the temps are usually much cooler there, so am looking forward to that. It will be Juji's first time to see the ocean and I'm hoping she enjoys running and playing on the beach!

Keeping you and your aunt in my prayers, Charles and sending special thoughts your way. Hugs to all, Gina, Saada and Juji

Hi Charles and kids. Thankyou for stopping by and your kindness as always. I am happy to hear your Aunt is back home and doing well. Things are slowly getting back to normal here . It was nice to get away and visit friends and family but work seems to always wait for us back home. Ha-Ha, Oh well,we will get it done. Thank goodness for friends and family helping out. We had a wild storm go through here last night and a tornado had touched down twenty miles away from here but missed us. I know our Angels were watching over us. W are going to take a ride up there tomorrow and see the damage it has done. It has cooled down here today which is a relief after the extreme heat and high humidity in the past two  days. I hope you have gotten the rain that you have so badly needed. I was going to send you some of the rain we were getting here last week as it just poured for two days and nights. It came down in buckets. I was about to bring out the boat and hip waders, Ha-Ha.

Have a great week.

Sending hugs to all.

Dear Charles, sweet Sammy, Gabby & Bob M and the rest of the gang,   Thankyou for your nice visit to us.  Yes, we are on the road and will be heading back in couple days.  We will have covered over 2,000 miles when we return.  We are visiting family and friends we have not seen in awhile.  In the S Dakota (Mt. Rushmore) and Nebraska regions.  Yes, Deadwood is nice little town.  My husband grew up there during his elementary years, so as we went through he and his sister were reminiscing on where different stores, schools, etc. used to be located.  And a few are still in their original locations.  Wow, lots of gambling revenue there.  Also, some skiing, snowmobiling, camping, fishing, etc. Just lots of outdoor recreational areas.  I don't think i would want to live on one of those slopes,   Yes, Spearfish canyons pretty area (and the black hills too)  They have done alot with it in the way of more development, but guess it was pretty also back in the day before commercialism too.

Charles, I saw somewhere about your Aunt and I hope she is doing better.  That's wonderful you are able to help her.  I am sure Sammy and the other angels are watching over her.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care,  glenise & daisy
