02-12-2014 4:40 PM -- By: Cinnamon & Bruce,  From: Rainbow Bridge & PA

Sammy & Charles,

Your pal's Cinnamon and Bruce just stopping by a few days early to pay our respects to our loving, thoughtful, generous, devoted, smart, determined, brave and gentle man Sammy, and Dad Charles and family, on beloved Sammy's 21st birthday.

Spoken from the heart, Charles, but as I've told you before, I am in awe of the support and caring you've shared with so many others here at Critters over the years.  And of course, setting an example for all with the ongoing love and devotion you share with you beloved son Sammy, and Gabby and Bob M, each and every day.

I know, Sammy, that my amazing little Dachshund angel Cinnamon couldn't think of anything she'd rather do than spend your birhtday with you, and your sister & brother Gabby and Bob M. at the bridge.  WHAT A GRAND TIME Sammy will have, with so many special angel friends.

I hope you're feeling better, Charles, and know that you and your Sammy, Gabby and Bob M (& JJ & JR, too), and your beloved Cupcake, Xander and Bentley, are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Peace & Love, and a happy birthday!

Cinnamon & Bruce

02-10-2014 7:37 PM -- By: Luna,  From: as Sammy's Birthday approaches

Their LOVE surrounds us always ... Luna smiles as she begins to whisper, seems a special little boy is having a party this Valentines Day, painting the town Red with their  love ... "Happy Birthday Sammy!"

All across the bridge things are happening, from the love letters sent on the flake of newly fallen snow, as if each flake was a letter, and the snow fall tell us their story; or the star twinkle and shine as they glide through the atmosphere, letting us know they are happy;  or the sounds of music can be heard on the quiet nights, as their sweet melody plays on in our mind ... their LOVE will always surrond us!

May you know our angels will always fill our heart, till the day they agagin fill our arms. Sending hugs and al ur love, today and always, Luna & her mom Nadine

02-05-2014 12:51 PM -- By: Cinnamon & Brucer,  From: Rainbow Bridge & PA

Sammy, Gabby & Bob M, and Charles,

I sound like a broken record, Charles, but it truly is always great to hear from you, your kids, and your angels.

We've been blasted by a series of storms since November of last year, with today's storm heavy on the ice and freezing rain.  Nice.  We just got about 10 inches of snow on Monday, and now have a whopper coming along for this weekend, they say.

I'm glad your dear Cupcake, Xander and Bentley were there to help in your battle with the flu.  Take care of yourself, Charles, your three babies have had a busy winter so far.  Of course they know full well, that as you have in the past, you'd do anything for them.

I believe that the Bridge is an even better than we can imagine, Charles.  No matter how generous or kind we are as humans, the concept of all kinds of beautiful, innocent and loving souls and angels getting along, and comforting and loving each other regardless of how different they are, is not in sync with how most people live their lives.

I think that's one of the reasons Critters is such a special place, Charles, we, literally, wear our hearts on our sleeve when it comes to our amazing angels like your Sammy. Gabby and Bob M, and my little Cinnamon & her half brother Brutus and my other kids.

I think our kids all love, protect and respect each other, and that they do watch over us in their own way.  I have had a thought in my head, about how Cinnie, and Brutus and his brothers/sisters, met, but it's literally too emotional for me to handle.

They are all hanging out together, Charles, Princess and Sammy, Gabby & Bob M, Molly and Rowdy, BJ and Jake, my Cinnamon & Brutus, Luke and Luna, and they will all be here February 14th, to mark your beloved Sammy's 21st birthday.

Get well, Charles, and as always let your babies and angels know they are loved and respected every day.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon & Bruce

Sending sweet thoughts your way, knowing the love remains, nestled deep within your heart ... knowing one day we will see you again. Luna twists and shouts, as all our loved ones dance upon the stars, and in our s! (hugs) Luna & her mom Nadine

02-03-2014 8:11 AM -- By: Lauvern,  From:

Good Monday Morning Charles, Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent posts. Your visits are always much appreciated. I have not had much computer time as of recent so could not visit my dear Critters friends but you are never far from my thoughts. With the warmer weather coming, I should have at least a little free time. As I had mentioned, it has been hectic at the shelter but things are starting to look up.

I am sorry to hear that the flu bug caught up with you and I do hope you rested all weekend and were able to get over it . There are so many sick around here with the flu bug as well.So far ,I have been able to avoid it but I did have a sinus infection which wasn't easy but I'm ok now.

I hope your Aunt is doing as well as can be expected and the fur kids are all well. I know they were busy looking after you and being your nurses for awhile."smile". These fur kids certainly know when we aren't feeling well and they try their best to make us feel better, even it is just by being near us. I remember while Luke was with me, he would rattle his water dish if he was thirsty and the bowl was empty BUT when I wasn't feeling well, he wouldn't even do that. I guess he didn't want to bother me.Of coarse when I got to know that, I would always make sure his water bowl was full for him even if I wasn't feeling well.... I think these fur kids make the BEST nurses ever. "smile".

Have a good day and I will write when I get a few free minutes. Sending hugs across the miles.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

Dear Charles, Sammy, Gabby, Bob M, Cupcake, Xander and Bentley,

My time is not my own at the moment but my heart and thoughts often turn to my critters friends in the moments I do have to myself.  I could not ask for better friends and only wish we were close enough to visit in person from time to time. I know you are busy with work and with your aunt. Fortunately we both have loving furbabies to comfort and cheer us through our days. A nudge of the nose or the touch of a soft ear or tail can make all of the difference at times. Not to mention the joy expressed upon our return from work or romps in the yard. How lucky we are! Hugs my friend.

I am sure your Aunt loved the idea of you bringing her in to visit as did the other residents. There is just something about these furbabies that brings the sparkle back into the eyes of the elderly.I am sure they are all looking forward to seeing Cupcake again.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sending hugs across the breezes from up north.

01-14-2014 9:52 AM -- By: Lauvern,  From:

Dear Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent visits and coffee. We always need coffee in the  mornings here as our days start at about 5:00 am.

What a great idea for you to take sweet Cupcake to visit your aunt.I am sure your aunt would love that. There is something abut animals that seems to melt many people hearts. Many of the nursing homes here have little dogs or kitties living at the nursing home . I read an article not too long ago about how these pets have made a difference to all the residents of the nursing homes. They have school children volunteering there who take the dogs out for a walk and look after the kitties needs .etc.When its my time to go into one of these places, I hope they have many pets there. Nothing would make me happier, I am sure. I hope thats a long way off yet though. haha.

You are most welcome to visit us one day.We would love that and there is lots of room here.So when you decide to make the adventure up north, let me know so that we can make some plans and I can cut my workload back a bit.I know you would love to see the "pittie farm" which is what we call Lawrence's home. There are now 14 spoiled pitties living there. That is between Lawrence and his son's Bruce's adjacent properties. I am sure you would like to meet Samantha as you know Sammy's legend lives on in her."smile".

Have a good day. I have a puppy obedience class I must get to.

Sending hugs through the spring like breezes from here to there.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

Sammy, Gabby & Bob M & Dad Charles,

Thank you all so very much for sharing my dear little Cinnamon's 15th birthday with you.  I know, Sammy, that you and my beloved Brutus probably had a good time at the January 9th Rainbow Bridge birthday party Cinnie shared with so many other beatufiul angels.  Cinnie talks about your babies all of the time, Charles, and I think she's become very good friends with Gabby!

Charles, I cannot thank you enough for the kidness and caring you have shared with me and Cinnie, and so very many others here at Critters. Your friendship truly is a blessing. Glad to here your feeling better, bujt I'm saddened by the news in Nadine's note from the 10th about your Aunt. My thought s and prayers are with you all, as I know what a kind, genune and compassionate man you are.

Thank you, my friend, for your caring and kidness.  I look forward to hearing from you and your kinds regardless of the occasion.

Bless you, Charles, and angels Sammy, Gabby and Bob M, and your beloved Cupcake, Xander and Bentley, today and throughout the new year.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon & Bruce

Hello Charles, Sammy, Gabby and Bob M and your fur-kids at home. Sorry to hear about your aunt, but it's best that she be in a place that can help her get strionger, treatment and therapy ... she knows you love her. When she gets stronger and able to do for herself she will  get a better sense of self and understanding. Sending our ((hugs)) her way, let her know she is in our thoughts as well. Often I find myself thinking and picturing my little Luna, playing, smiling and dancing ... hanging with her buddies knowing she is happy although I can't help but miss her, my love continues to grow making me stronger knowing one day ...    Luna & her mom Nadine

01-10-2014 7:59 AM -- By: Lauvern,  From:

Good Friday Morning Charles, handsome Sammy, Gabby and little BobM.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent visits and kind words as always.... Things here are getting back to normal and today it is looking like spring out there. The temps have made a drastic change and are above normal for this time of year. One never knows what to expect next. Anyway these warmer temps are much easier to deal with. I am sure the furkids will all want to be outside today after being stuck indoors for the past 2 plus weeks.

I hope things are all well out your way and that the kids are doing well.Thinking of your aunt and hopeing all is as good as can be expected.

Sending along a few of Doris's fresh cinnamon rolls and fresh hot coffee to get your day going and wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Sending hugs through the "spring like" breezes from Canada.

Lauvern and all at Luke's shelter.

P/S... Sammy, I know you and Luke have been busy during the "way below normal"temps here as all the shelters are full with furbabies that have been found out in the severe cold and brought to shelters here until their parents can be found or new forever homes are found. Keep up the great work and I thank you.

Dear Charles and furfriends to the south,

Dear Lauvern and furfriends to the North,

I hope you are all safe and warm and feeling much better. I have not heard from you in awhile so I hope all is well. Our weather has been mild in comparison to the rest of the country. We need rain and snow but not much in sight. I will be away from critters more than usual as my dad has just entered ito Hospice. He will be 94 in a few weeks and he is struggling.

Wishing all of you the very best the New Year has to offer.

Hugs from the NorthWest.

Charles, Sammy, Gabby & Bob M,

Always wonderful to hear from my good friend Charles, but sorry about your back.  Knock on wood, I've only had a couple of minor issues over the years.

You couldn't ask for better group of nurses though, Charles, than Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.  I swear if I close my eyes I can feel my beloved old man Brutus flop down next to me.  So solid and muscular our PB and Am Staff kids are, Charles, but they love to cuddle.  There was no such thing as 'too close'!

I wish you well, Charles, and hope you're feeling better every day.  Here's to a happy and healthy 2014 to the whole Padilla family.

Cinnamon sends her love, Charles, along with a bunch of her special kisses to you and yours.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon & Bruce

Charles & Family,

Stopping by to wish my great and good friend Charles, and his family, angels included, well during the remainder of this crazy holiday season.

I has been a privilege for me to get to know you here at Critters this year, Charles, and to witness first hand all of the kindness, respect, and wisdom you are always willing to share with others.

I know, Charles, that my beloved Cinnamon, and all of my kids from the past, including my Brutus who I've bragged about to you so often, will be spending Christmas with Sammy, Gabby and Bob M, and the other amazing angels I am now aware of, but who I know loved and comforted by Cinnie right for the start.

Bless you, Charles, and may the remainder of your holidays be filled with good fortune, good health, and happiness, and in the new year, too.

And by all means with Cupcake, Xander and Bentley a joyous holiday from me and Cinnamon.

Cinnamon & Bruce

I wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and a healthy and Happy new year.
