Happy Angel Day Handsome! Enjoy your day! Bless you always sweet boy!

XO Linda & Milo

"There is a celebration in Heaven the biggest one around, honoring a sweet angel with eyes of darkest brown. His bark is loud, his smile wide this angel oh! so sweet, all the angels loved him from the moment they did meet. This angel boy stands so proud his head high in the air, guarding the heavens rainbow bridge without any care. Standing tall and sleek with a sparkle in his eyes, this angel boy they meet took over the rainbows skies. His story is just his heart is true this angel friend they know, who leads them through fields of gold where flowers forever grow. The other angels gather around holding something by their side, the dark brown angel looks up slowly they continue to just hide. He glances over at the crowd as they part side by side, and watch how Jesus walks the fields slowly in his stride. He stops at the angel pets his head and whispers in his ear, my dearest friend and angel one I am so happy you are here. For an angel like you who takes the lead makes my heart very proud, Jesus summons the other angels to slowly gather around. The dark boy angel looks up once then smiles in delight, as his friends bring forth a candle burning one they tried to hide. This candle is for you they did explain as the angel listened so, "Your heart is big filled with kindness the finest one we know." Jesus takes the brown angel then places him on his knee, "So my friends please observe the finest boy you'll see." They clap and roar as the angel smile and jumps back to the ground. then follow him on the Rainbows trail without any sound. He barks out loud looks below to the master that he loves. stardust fills the air floating down from up above. The angel boy Sammy dear smiles again thinking of his dad, then leads the pack up the hill upon this golden land. There is music and laughter with treats around as the angels sing in glee, at the celebration of their friend up here in eternity. He's strong and bold, lean and tall as he sits upon the hill, then drops a teardrop down below to his dad with his heart so fill. For an angel like this comes around once in a very while, one that brings the other angels to bare their biggest smile. The angels eat then run the fields each one is very fed, then Jesus comes pauses just once and pets the angel's head. "Thank you my boy, for what you give here you never grow old." "And thank you for just being you my angel with the heart of gold."

Dear Charles,

Having just honored Princess on her 8th angel day I can truly say I understand exactly how you feel. Knowing our children are whole and healthy is a wonderful feeling yet being here without them is not. My heart still aches for my girl as I know yours does for Sammy. How lucky we were to have been entrusted with such loving companions. Like you, I look forward to the day I will be reunited with all of my furry children. Until then I thank my lucky stars for friends like you who know all too well how difficult it is to be without the ones we love.

hugs to you my friend.

My Beloved Son Sammy ... another year ... your 7-Year Angelversary will be here tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7th .. though it will be a day of mixed emotions, I know you are healthy, happy and with all your friends.

Sammy, my son, I LOVE YOU and I MISS YOU so very much.  You are always on my mind and in my heart.  Please take good care of yourself and be waiting for me so when I leave this earth, all I want is YOU and my other furkids who have gone before me, to walk me over that Rainbow Bridge.

Sending many hugs and kisses my son.  Dad

Sammy & Charles,

Bless striking, distinguished, always loving & loved, caring,  determined, generous, knowing, courgeous, kind and  compassionate man Sammy, and Dad Charles, on beloved Sammy's 7 year angel day.

It remains a privilege for my little doxie girl Cinnamon and I to spend time with you here, Sammy, as we do on your birthday and angel day each year.

As you know, Sammy, even though I know that you, and Gabby & Bob M are great forever angel friends to my Cinnamon, it's my beloved son Brutus I see reflected in your eyes every time I visit with you.  Heck, every time I visit with your Dad.  Well, truth be told I guess I think about my Brutus just about every day, even though my boy will mark his 26th angel day at the Bridge; can you believe it, Sammy, I know I can't; in May of this year.

Just as your Dad does, Sammy, I still feel, and hear, and see my beloved Am Staff son Brutus in my mind's eye even as the years, and decades, pass by.

Anyway, Cinnamon and Brutus, and every one of my angels, are here on the eve of your 7 year angel day, Sammy to pay our respects, but even more importantly to celebrate your beautiful, joyful spirit, and the love you shared, and continue to share, with your Dad Charles.

You remain so connected and devoted to your angels on a regualr basis, Charles, and respecting and honoring them is a part of who you are, yet I know marker days like these, no matter how many years removed, will always bring a little more heartache, and a few extra tears.

As I've said to you before, my friend, when we struggle to find words glorious or powerful enough to convey how much a beautiful soul like Sammy meant (and means) to you, we begin to understand why we cherish and love them, and miss them for the rest of our lives.  We are truly forever blessed to have shared even a sliver of our lives with them.

Bless guardian angels Sammy, Gabby and Bob M; Dad Charles and family, beloved Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.and your universe of souls, on four legs and two, forever and ever.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon & Bruce (& Brutus)

Sammy, Gabby, Bob M & Charles,

It is always so good to hear from your and your angels, Charles, truly.  I was just saying to Michelle how far behind I feel I am in thanking people for stopping by.  There are many precious angels with birhtdays and angel days in March, and it's just flat out hard to keep up at times.

I'm glad you get some we deserved time to unwind now, Charles.  As you know the rewards, measured in joy, woofs, head bonks and licks, you get for being able to spend more time with Cupcake, Xander and Bentley, is truly priceless and can never be duplicated.

You have been a dear and trusted friend since Cinnamon and I arrived here, Charles, something I am always aware of and that i apprreciate so very much.

Bless guardian angels Sammy, Gabby and Bob M; Dad Charles and family, beloved Cupcake, Xander and Bentley and your universe of souls, on four legs and two, forever.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon and Bruce

I have another dog Frisco a pomeranian he's 13 years old like Lucky but lives with my brother. I know when Frisco meets Lucky at the Rainbow Bridge I am going to be so heartbroken and devastated. Lucky was his brother and they did every single thing together. I just feel sad for Frisco because he just alone and hated other dogs but only loved Lucky. I've just been cherishing every moments with Frisco like at the park and taking a million pictures. He's doing pretty okay as an old dog but has little problems with his legs which is normal I guess. I love Frisco equally as Lucky even though they had completely different personailites. I understand you having a deeper connection with Sammy but still love the dogs you currently have. Tattoos are amazing ways to remember the things that were apart of you. And Writing weekly tributes sounds like a helpful idea because I always write on Lucky's guestbook whenever I feel sad. The first month when Lucky went to the Rainbow Bridge I was completely depressed and would not stop crying when I woke up and going to bed it is slowly getting better having 7 months passed. I had Lucky since I was 8 years old and he mean't the entire world to me as my first dog will always be apart of me.

Thank you so much Charles and Sammy for visiting me and Lucky today. I really appreciate having founded this website and talking to dog owner's like you. I know you understand what I'm currently going through with the loss of my boy. I miss him so so much. Sometimes when I look at Lucky's pictures I can't believe he is not on this earth anymore. I oftentimes feel like the amazing 13 years I had with him were never enough. I know he at a good safe place at the Rainbow Bridge watching over me. I know Sammy's 7th Angelversary is coming up and you still miss him dearly. He may have been a big dog but had a huge heart from what you wrote about him. It really amazing that you rescued him on the streets and was truly mean't to be to have him in your life. Thanks again for stopping by I will be back to write on here.  Lots of Love from California. ♡ Sweet Lucky & Kassandra

Dear Charles, Sammy, Gabby and little Bob M.......Cupcake, Xander and Bentley.

Thank you for your recent kind posts as always. I am sure you will enjoy more time with your kids after the busy days you have had lately.

Things here are looking up as my mom's house has been sold which is a good thing but a little sad at times.  The new owners take position on April 30th. I am planning to prepare dinner for family and friends and of course my Mom in her home before then. I think it will help her  put a closure to her home seeing it empty with all her belongings gone out of there as well as having our last meal together  in her home with friends and neighbors in the area present.I will rent tables and chairs, etc as the home is now vacant but will prepare the meal at home.

I hope you are having nice spring weather. It has been real spring weather here with no snow left. There was no running water this spring .I have never saw so little snow  as we had gotten this past winter. We normally are expecting flooding at this time of year but the water levels are real low so there won't be any flooding. I do hope we get rain though as everything will be dry without it. One never knows what mother nature sends our way.

Have a great fun filled weekend with the kids. I plan to take Tyson and Dozer to our cottage just for a ride and see how things are there. They both love it there as they get freedom off the leash which they don't get in the city.

Thank you again for your visits. Its always nice to hear from friends on Critters.

Sending hugs from here to there.

03-12-2015 11:40 PM -- By: Sharon, Maxwell's mommy,  From: Cleveland, OH

Charles, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my Maxwell's page and for the kind and loving words you wrote. It means so much to me. We rescued each other as your Sammy and you did for each other. What a wonderful blessing for you both that you took him into your life. Your tribute to him is absolutely beautiful and he must be so proud of his daddy. Maxwell was and always will be my happiness my life. He came to me at a time when I didn't know if anything could help me. And then, the he was. When I went to the shelter to see him, he sat right in my lap. We had found each other. Our other half.  My heart goes out to you, Sammy, J.J, and J.R.  I know they are resting peacefully, and playing happily, awaiting your return home to them.
Your Sammy is so beautiful, such a handsome sweet face. It gives me such a good feeling to know there are people like you out there, to rescue him off the street was so wonderful. They do so much for us, they give us so much and they ask for so little in return. Just love. Maxwell was my light, my protector, my best friend. Until him, I never knew how wonderful true, unconditional love felt. Just their smiles and their presence bring such a wonderful feeling to our hearts. Nothing on earth like it.
Thank you so much and you are all in my thoughts and prayers

Dear Charles, Sammy, BobM, Cupcake, Xander and Bentley,

It is always a treat to receive one of your posts. We returned from vacation a week ago and I have been playing catch up ever since. A good time was had by all. Kit and Bailey enjoyed their walks (Bailey's were abbreviated) and we even had a lovely day to spend some time at a tiny beach. Bailey water walked and explored tide pools and Kit swam and ran. The weather was picture perfect most of the time.

I am sure you are looking forward to a more "normal" life once work is finished. I know your kids will enjoy having more time with Dad.

Thanks again for thinking of us as we do you so often.

Dear Charles, Thank you so much for visiting my Sadie's page it breaks my heart Every day in this world WHAT PEOPLE DO TO PITTIES I have owned them for most of my life and wouldn't ever dream of owning a better dog they are a remarkable animal and what people don't realize is that the pit bull was deemed at the nanny dog to kids years ago and many presidents owned pit bulls themselves ITS DEVASTATING to me that someone could do the unthinkable to my baby girl I never thought I would have to worry about this Its A funny thing the bond humans form with their fur kids I am sure glad your Sammy is there to show her the ropes of rainbow BRIDGE He certainly is a gorgeous gorgeous Boy there and I am sure they will become the best of friends I miss her so much I too pray she didn't suffer any for I couldn't bear the thought of her having to go through that all by herself I haven't slept in days because of the tragic loss I just don't think I am ready to love another right now but when I am ready I believe I am going to get another pitty because they are a truly remarkable animal and I COULD NOT imagine them being gone... I just wish Sadie was still here you take care of yourself and when I get on facebook I will definatley look you up thank you.

02-24-2015 10:25 AM -- By: Mona,  From: Illinois

 Dear Charles,

I missed dear Sammy's Valentine birthday this year, but I thought you would like to know how he, and all your very special furkids, have influenced me over the past two years. I have gradually become a very vocal advocate for this amazing breed.

You see, I never really quite bought into the things I was seeing and hearing about pitties. Bred to kill. Locking jaws. Dangerous just because of what they are. Really? I learned a long time ago that every dog is an individual, yet it seems that alone among breeds, a pit is often not allowed that consideration. I support several rescues and, of course, they have many pitties because there are so many that are discarded like trash. (They are the "lucky" ones ... poor dear babies). I've met many and loved them all, they are wonderful dogs. In the two years I've been on Critters, I've begun speaking out for them more and more in various ways. It is a tragedy and a travesty that the very traits humans bred into these magnificent dogs -- courage, loyalty, strength -- are preverted and used against them. I believe the tide of public opinion is turning, but there's still a long way to go.

Right now, as you may know from visiting my pages, we have Mr. Stewie who is a Basset-Beagle mix and lost his lifelong companion, Lily, last summer. He will be our only dog for as long as he lives. But when the sad day comes that it's time for him to leave this earth, I have already decided that after a time of grieving him I will seek out a pittie who needs a home -- because I've come to love them. Sammy, more than any other dog I've "met" through the internet, has been a big influence in that decision. He truly does live on with an amazing legacy.

Grateful as always for your friendship, Charles, and hoping this finds  you and your furkids warm and well.

Ricki Roo's mom (and Lily's, and Stewie's).

Hi! Charles-

Thanks so much for stopping by on Milo's birthday, it meant a lot to me. Yesterday driving home I looked up at the sky ad cried a few minutes thinking of him, but I could feel him near. He always loved to sit right next to me straight up on the passenger seat. Such a good boy he was, he would never jump all over the pace or move. Just sit straight up occasionally hanging his head out the window without a care in the world. Boy, do I miss that guy. But I know he is always with me, just as I am sure you know that beautiful boy Sammy stands by you. Thanks for the kind words regarding my father. It has been a very trying road. He has developed pneumonia literally 7 times just from being I the hospital. He is now getting over his 7th one and recovering well. This all happened October 10th, so it's been a long road. But I am very grateful he is doing so well and now getting his strength back and physical therapy. I am so sorry about your Aunt. I am sure Sammy is keeping good company with her as well. Hope all is well with you and you are doing good. All your furkids are just so beautiful, and very lucky to have such a kind and caring Dad as yourself. Bentley is very, very handsome and Cupcake and Xander are just beautiful. Thanks again for stopping by and hope you are staying warm!

Many hugs to you!

Happy Belated Birthday Handsome Sammy!

Sorry this is late. I have so many things going on with my father, but I would never forget to wish such a special young man, as yourself a very Happy Birthday! I just can imagine the celebration for such a special boy as yourself. You get your kindness from your dad. I hope you enjoyed your day Sammy with all your friends, you deserve it my friend. Bless you now and always special boy! Happy Birthday to you! XO

Linda & Milo An angel stands straight beneath a tree against the Heaven's wall,

his head held proud tail wagging and a wonder to them all.

The angels gather around his side as he stares in pure delight,

they place a hat upon his head and cheer at his very sight.

For an angel like this one special indeed has a day just set aside,

where the angels sing and Jesus smiles upon the mountainside.

A birthday takes place the music begins to fill the hillside air,

Jesus walks down smiling at him then blesses his brownish hair.

He holds his paw within his hand as the angels look in glee,

then clap along with a song as Jesus does agree.

Happy Birthday my friend he whispers to him a smile upon his face,

"You have blessed these fields with your love this can never be replaced."

The angel looks around at all his friends a tear within his eye,

his heart is a glow as Jesus he des know this angel is filled with pride.

'Run now my friend," Jesus does say as the crowd stands very close by.

"The hills are just yours my very dear friend enjoy your special day."

The angels all run as fast as they can as the boy now takes the lead,

following them down to a path with Birthday cake they feed.

Jesus turns around once again a balloon within his hand,

it floats up above directly to the angel within this golden land.

"Enjoy your day my precious boy, remember you are never old."

He walks slowly away whispering out loud, "Your heart is made of gold."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMMY ... Luna looks at the sky and notices the sky is a bright PINK and notices Sammy sitting in the field of dreams watching the morning sky ... she notices the sky part and a shining star appear and he gets very excited. He knew it was is dad ... their LOVE shining as brightly as it always has ... knowing they are with us always!!! Luna runs around and places upon each fur angel a hat with a HUGE heart on it ... but as they run and play, when they think of their loving parents back home a light twinkles from the heart like a bright star ... so when you see the kids playing , the stars bouncing, and the sky more beautiful with every glance you take ... know they are their smiling, happy and thinking of YOU! Many hugs and tons of kisses, Luna & her mom Nadine

 Dear Charles:

I wanted to stop by to let you know that I was thinking of you on this day, and I wanted to acknowledge the birthday of your precious & beautiful Sammy.  I know that your sweet boy is in good hands and that he is surrounded by lots of rambunctious playmates who keep him busy in that beautiful place beyond the Bridge, but I also know that you miss him very much.  Rest assured, he has not forgotten you either.  How very lucky Sammy was to have found you and to have spent his life being so very loved and cherished.

  HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMMY BOY!

Thank you for your recent message.  Sorry I did not respond back, but I have been dealing with a few health set-backs and my precious little Kyleigh is not doing well at all.  Last week, I was preparing to have to send her to the Rainbow Bridge, but the vet decided to try a treatment to see if it might help her.  It has had only minimal success, but she has pulled thru before when she looked like she might not make it, even after she had already used up about 30 of her 9 lives..... but she is 15 years old now, and so I am realistic and I will not allow her to suffer.  We'll see.  As you know, it is simply the price we pay for loving these precious creatures --- and loving them (and being loved by them) is worth the cost.  Well, I do hope that you & all the "kids" are doing really well.  Just know that I'm thinking of you.

Hugs to you,
Skye

Sammy & Charles,

Bless forever handsome, dignified, loving, determined, wise, fearless, giving, devoted, caring, gracious, brave and gentle man Sammy, and Dad Charles and family, on beloved Sammy's 22nd birthday.

Sammy, I know in your official supervisory capacity at the Bridge that you are aware of the large number of angels who share your Valentine's Day birthday with you every year:  28 in all on the Critters site alone!

Cinnamon and I are stopping by on the eve of your 22nd birthday, precious Sammy, so that we are able to mark this special day with you, and to remember your wonderful life and the love you share with your Dad Charles, today and every day.

From the beginning, Charles, after I posted Cinnie's memorial here at Critters on January 8, 2013, one day before her 14th birthday, and the first birthday she shared with your Sammy, Gabby and Bob M at the Bridge, you have been a great and generous friend.

As you know, Chares, no matter how many years go by, the devotion and love we share with unforgettable angels like your dear Sammy remains a part of who we are, just as surely as it did when he shared a home here on earth with you.

You are so supportive of the Critters community and our angels that this will sound familiar, but I really do believe that the sharing of home, life and love with these amazing spirits, as you did with Sammy and Gabby, and Bob M for not nearly enough time, and as you do with Cupcake, Xander and Bentley, is just about the most wonderful and spiritually nourishing thing a person will ever experience here on earth.

And then as you know, Charles, they graciously leave a little bit of themselves behind, in our hearts and memories, and allow us to cherish and love them forever, that's all.

Bless guardian angels Sammy, Gabby and Bob M; Dad Charles and family, especially beloved Cupcake, Xander and Bentley. this day and every day.

Peace & Love,

Cinnamon & Bruce
