Wish You Were Here

There's a hush upon the world...
an overpowering silence

that cannot be broken.

For I will never see your face again

or hear your laughter fill the room

dancing eyes no more to cast their light

upon the darkest day.

I wish you were here...

how I wish you were here.

There's an empty place

no one can ever fill.

And from the depths of darkest night

only your light

could ever lead me home again.

Only your special grace

could fulfill the promise of the day.

I wish you were here...

how I wish you were here.

I turn amid the bustle of the day,

expecting to see you there.

A fleeting movement,

a glimpse of something familiar,

and my senses are flooded with you.

Shadows flicker in my memory

and slowly disappear.

I wish you were here...

how I wish you were here.

CHERISHED FRIEND

God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer

Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"

In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.

I think he knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain

At trials and misfortunes
Or some goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart

To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship
Unselfish...lasting...true,

And so God answered the heart's great need
With a Cherished Friend....like you.

I can't believe that you're really gone now
Seems like it's all just a dream
How could it be that the world would go on
When something has died within me
Leaves will turn, my heart will burn
With colors of you
Snow will fall, but I'll recall your warmth
Summer wind, breathing in your memory
I'll miss you...

But there will be a time
When I'll see your face
And I'll hear your voice
And there we will laugh again
And there will come a day
When I'll hold you close
No more tears to cry
'Cause we'll have forever
So I'll wait....

I can't imagine my life without you
You held a place all your own
Just knowing that you were beneath the same sky
Oh what a joy I have known
On rainy days, in many ways
You water my heart
On starry nights I'll glimpse the light
Of your smile
Never far from my heart
You'll stay with me
And so I'll wait....

Until that time
When I see your face
And I hear your voice
And then we will laugh again
And on that day
I will hold you close
No more tears to cry
'Cause we'll have forever
But for now, I wait....

Dearest Lisa and handsome Puck ... oh my gosh .. Puck, you silly man .. you always put a BIG smile on my face when you visit.  Thank you, Puck, for always being there when I need a smile.

Lisa, I hope things are going well out your way.  I am so glad to be back from my vacation in San Pedro, Belize, as I missed Cupcake and Xander very much .. BUT .. do know that Aunt Judy took good care of them and Sammy watched over them from up above.

Thank you, Lisa and Puck, for being special friends.  Sending you hugs today and always ....

This Tender Path
(by Terri Onorato)

There was a time not long ago
I couldn't feel you near,
I'd cry myself to sleep at night
and watch dawn break through tears.

Encased in pain and sorrow
I couldn't plainly see
the essence of your precious soul
waiting for me so patiently.

I searched my heart with restless speed
but the desperate pace I'd set
caused a shroud to camouflage
the loving signs you sent.

In your own angelic way
you stilled my hurried quest
to reaffirm the love we shared
and put my fears to rest.

You let me know it mattered not
our length of time together,
for time can't measure what we had
nor can our bond it sever.

You showed me that the grief we feel
is a necessary challenge,
and support we give to grieving souls
should remain steadfast in balance.

Learning kindness and compassion
I walk this tender path with care
in the knowledge that your love lives on
through the common bond we share.

I won't take my purpose lightly
and your message is not lost…
Give back the love that's paved upon
this tender path I walk.

hey Mr Twins and Vikings FAN , I just got home a while back and I know Kia been telling me something   so Happy   Angel  day Puck . The Gift That You Are

Startled and fascinated by the beauty and fragility
of your wings, I watch as you move
so gently
so quietly
almost unexpectedly
through my world

And then I watch as you move on,
fluttering softly into the distance.
Pleading silently, I beg you,
please ... don't go.

I haven't yet had the time
to memorize
to remember
to understand
the uniqueness of the beauty that is yours.

I know I cannot hold you for long,
capturing you for my world.
But, rest gently with me
if only for a moment.

That I may treasure the memory
and the beauty of the
gift that you were

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend

Hi Puck!

My mom has been going through my site trying to catch up on all my B-day  wishes and came across a couple of other  messages from you, introducing yourself, wishing me a Happy B-day, etc.   I have never seen her laugh, when she goes through my site (she usually  always cries), but she laughed when she read your messages, you keep her going.  Memorial Day is next weekend, maybe all of our friends can get together at Rainbow Bridge and celebrate.  Thank you for making my mother laugh!

I had to say good-bye today
To the dearest friend I've known
And no one understands like me
Why my heart feels so alone
By my side to comfort me
When I wasn't at my best
You even loved me when I'd shout
Stop being such a pest

I won't forget the games we played
Or your favorite place to sleep
The hardest part will be coming home
And you not there at my feet
Everyday that precious face
Filled my world with gentle love
Now you're with the
Angels up above

(Still) it's so hard to say good-bye
Like my shadow I could
Count on you to be there
So don't mind the tears that I cry
It may take a little while to
Remember you and smile
It's the selfish part of me that wants
You right here back with me
Yes right here by my side
It's so hard to say good -bye

There will be days I know,
As I learn to let go
The rain in my heart'll feel like a river
Then like a soft gentle wind,
From the warmth of a friend
Instead of tears
I'll remember you and smile

With closed eyes, I see you among the flowers,
High above the clouds.

Your presence blows through me with the breeze.
Your smile beams down on through the sun.
The full moon brings the light of your laughter to my mind.

And the Butterfly in all its splendor reminds me
Of your beauty and freedom now.
Leaving your love for me lingering in my world.

A butterfly flights beside us like a Sunbeam
And for a brief moment it’s glory and beauty
Belong to our world,
But then it flies on again;
And though we wish it could have stayed,
We feel so lucky to have seen it.

The butterfly counts not months,
But in moments, and has time enough.

P.S... Puck -- I swear nothing makes me smile like that photo of you in the cowboy outfit where you look like you are letting out a big belly laugh.   :)  That picture could brighten up anyone's day!  What a riot, Puck.  :)

Butterfly Memorial Poem

A rush of wings
they flutter high
to touch the sun
and kiss the sky

A butterfly
is with us now
No more a caterpillar
upon a leaf

(Person's Name) with angel wings
A soaring butterfly
with us they sing

One Day at a Time

You lived your life one day at a time.
The words you shared were always kind.
You loved us all with your whole heart.
It saddens us to be apart, and forever we
hold you in our hearts
Today you stand in God's bright light.
Watching over us day and night.
In our hearts you will remain
Until the day we meet again...
Forever Your love will live on in our hearts
and the hearts of those you touched.
We are so grateful to God for blessing our lives with
the beautiful gift of you.
We miss you sweet angel,
more than you can imagine.
