Hi Pat  and crew.I just wanted to stop by and wish you a grand long weekend as I know I will not have time to come online tomorrow. We are holding a four day carnival at the shelter so it will be a busy but FUN weekend. I know you will no doubt be working on fixing things up all weekend but please take some time for yourself.

Hi Pat , furkids, and a 'feathered one. Stopping by to share some of Jules coffee and danish "no calories" with you this morning. Its a goods thing that all the goodies we share on the net don't have any calories Huh? It sounds like the two new kids are keeping you busy. i am sure they love their walks with you and most of all I know they appreciate having a loving place to call "home". These furbabies are so deserving of all of that but many don't get a chance to know what a loving home is like.It is so sad.

The shelter kids are all doing well as they are getting to spend  more play time outside with the cooler weather that we are having, especially cooler evenings. The shelter is full as always but a few will be leaving to their forever loving homes next week and I will bring in more needing shelter from the humane society. The kennels are never empty around here for longer then a day as there are so many needing help.

How glad we are to see you back with us! It sounds as if you have had quite a time of it. And do I understand you have new kids?! How special. WELCOME BACK !!! Pat .....Thankyou so much for visiting as I have certainly missed your posts and .I am happy you have the internet now. as I am sure you are as well. How did we ever manage without it?

Anyway I have to tell you how proud I am of you for taking in them poor German shepherds that someone must have thrown away. As you know , many would have just looked the other way or chased them away as I have seen so much of. So THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU for being one of the ones that CARES!!!!!!! I know they will return your love ten fold. I have a very special place in my heart for people such as yourself who care about the furry creatures.

Wow you certainly have had hot weather and lasting so long as well. I guess I shouldn't complain when we get 100 degrees for two or three days and then we get a break and it cools down to high 70s or low 80s.

I love this picture of pretty girl Fayeroe. So precious!!

Well I better get to bed before I fall asleep in my chair. I have had a long day as well as it was 98 degrees with high humidity  here today.

Dearest Pat, Tippy, Fayeroe, Teddyjack and Amsu ... so good to hear from you ... keep it up.!.  You just do not know how much I missed getting your postings and e-mails.

The fire that started near Los Alamos started near the Dixon Apple Orchard by a "downed" electric wire and then it went from there and traveled up those beautiful mountains towards Los Alamos and was very near some of the buildings at Los Alamos National Laboratory.  It was very scary .. they evacuated the entire town of Los Alamos.

I drove up that direction a few weeks ago and it is totally upsetting to see those beautiful ponderosa pines and all the other trees that took so many years to grow .. burned like a match-stick ... so sad.

We had so much smoke during that fire that I had to keep Cupcake and Xander confined inside the house with fans going 24/7 because, as you might remember, Cupcake, as a puppy, had pneumonia and her lungs are scarred .. so I had to keep my babies safe.

Once the firest were put out .. I let them out .. and boy, were they so excited to just run and run around the yard.

Pat, please take good care and please keep in touch.  I know Lauvern would love to hear from you .. and Ms. Jules .. these two have always and forever keep in contact with me.

PAT, Tippy, Fayeroe, Teddyjack and Amsu ... Oh how you made my day ... Thank You for writing and letting me know things are going good for you.  I've had you on my mind quite a bit .. and so thankful you wrote.

Well .. "high fives" for Lita ... and all the other furkids.  

Do you have internet at home now?  I surely hope so .. so we can keep in touch more often.!.  Know that you've been sorely missed by me and I'm sure some others.  Things here have been fine .. after the horrible wild fires we had here in Los Alamos .. burned over 150,000 acres and got near the Los Alamos National Laboratories.  Remember the Dixon Apple Farm .. pretty much got destroyed and now the flooding has done a number on the property ... very, very sad.

Pat, oh .. I'm so happy you wrote and now you are getting your first momma pitt bull (hopefully this posting doesn't go into review for writing pitt bull).

Please keep me updated on your progress and all the furkids.  Pat, know you are loved and cherished by me, Cupcake and Xander .. who, by the way .. are perfect bullies.

Hi Pat and fur kids. Just stopping by to say Hello as I had a few free minutes of computer time. I hope all is going well for you and that you are finally settled into your new place. I have not been on here too much as I was away on vacation for two weeks and now that I am back I can't seem to get caught up with things. "you know how that goes". I have been quite busy at the shelter as the kennels are always fool and there are many fur kids too look after. Thank goodness for family and friends as well as high school kids volunteering their time to help me.

It has been very hot and humid here which I certainly don't like. I hope it is not that bad where you are.

I have to say it was a hard test but with many sleepless nights because of studying half the night. I was able to Ace the test. I am now working on things that got left undone because of studying but will soon be caught up.
