Dearest Pat and all the gang ... just wanted to stop by and say "HI". I just read your posting about Fayeroe being on a magazine or something ... please let me know ... I'd love to see it.
Hoping all is well your way. Here .. it is just plain hot and dry and sometimes humid when it rains a bit. We need so much more rain.
Started hauling 500 gallons of water last Saturday and will do so every Saturday. My well that I used for watering went dry .. so it has been a pain to haul .. but I don't want all my landscaping that I spent so much $$$$ on to die.
Sending hugs to you today and always ....
08-08-2012 9:47 PM -- By: Henry, From: NY Hi Pat I am doing OK I just had carpal tunnel surgery done to my hand for the second time and I hope it lasts as they said this is the last time they can do it. ( I am not supposed to use it so I have been on very little) It has been hot and dry here also we run the AC day and night but it has not been as hot as you are. I saw in your post that Fayeroe is going to be in a magazine I am so happy for you. I am sure you will treasure it I will have to keep an eye out for it and keep the kleenex handy. Our babies are watching us and I am sure Fayeroe is very proud of his mom for the article.Try to keep you and your babies cool in this nasty weather. Henry.

Dearest Pat and all the gang ... have been thinking of you and wanted to say "HI". I hope all is well your way as I haven't seen any postings.
Pat, it saddens me that most of the Critters Family have moved onto Facebook ... I, too, go to Facebook, BUT .. this is where my son's memorial is and I can come and see/view it .. and see those of my Critter's Family.
I guess they don't feel as I do for their furkids ... life goes on they say, but I will always miss and love and visit my Sammy's memorial and visit other's memorials too.
Sending many hugs your way ... thinking of some cheese enchiladas today for lunch or dinner ... sounds yummy .. don't you think .. *SMILE*.
Have a great week our friend .....

Dearest Pat and all the gang ... thank you so much for your visit and your posting. Things here have cooled down a bit. We have had some rain .. but not enough. I'm so thankful that the fires are pretty much out .. they are just "cleaning up" and watching them now.
I was thinking mother nature was punishing us for all our bad deeds or something .. and thought we would burn up. We haven't had as much rain as I would want, but hoping we will be getting it soon enough.
Sorry to hear your garden isn't doing too well. This heat is a killer for sure. Please take good care of yourself, Pat and all those furkids of all kinds.
Overall, me, Cupcake and Xander are doing great. Cupcake is healing great and is back to her "old" self. I just have to make sure she doesn't go running like a jack rabbit ... I don't want her to injure herself.
Well, my dear friend ... sending many hugs your way and may you all get the much-needed rain as we need too.
06-27-2012 10:41 PM -- By: Randy Hamel, From: Upham,ND Hey Pat and all your critters hope things are fine and no fires down your way.sounds like alot of the country is burning up.we had 91 the other day but its suppose to be a warm week all next week such crazy weather. dont remember when its been this strange.hope the hen is feeling better now .well thanks so much for the great post you really crack me up hehhehehe take care well talk again soon
06-25-2012 8:39 PM -- By: Nancy, From: The memorial for your Fayeroe is simply stunning and I can tell by her memorial you so delicately and beautifully made for her, that she meant more t han the world to you. I know its been 3 years, but if you are like me, time doesnt lessen the pain of losing a beloved furchild. I lost my Picky on Sept 2010 when he was 15 years old. I remain crushed and beyond broken.
Your Fayeroe is a beauty and a wondeful angel.
God bless
Nancy, Pickys "Momma" :0(

Pat.... Thank you for stopping by with the belated Angel Day wishes for Molly -- I appreciate it. I am very sorry to about your injury. I do hope that you are healing up well. I, myself, have been offline too, as I have been trying to heal from surgery. Consequently, I see that I missed Fayeroe's birthday while I've been away -- Sorry about that. Well, thanks again for stopping by and I hope you are feeling better very soon.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SWEET FAYEROE!
05-31-2012 10:01 AM -- By: Lauvern , From: Dear Pat and fur kids. Thank you for stopping by and for your kind posts as always.
I see you have some new fur kids. I want to personally thank you for saving these precious souls. The world needs alot more people such as yourself to help these furbabies.
I am sorry you are having them extremely hot days. I know what they are like,I know I will no doubt get them here soon but for now I am enjoying the cooler weather. We had a wonderful weekend and did go for a few boat rides. My fur kids just love to ride in the boat. We have had rain since Sunday but ended last night. I was begining to wonder if I was going to need hip waders or a boat to get around. LOL. Today is a beautiful sunny day but no extremely hot weather in forcast for now. Now about the snakes!! YIKES. I don't know how you can deal with them things. We don't have many around here but some of the places that we have gone camping at did have them. After I saw one, I was very cautious. I guess I wouldn't be of any help to you Ha?
Take care and don't overdo things.
Hugs

Good Sunday Morning Pat and Critters .... hoping you all are doing well. Yes, it has been pure "hell" with these fires in New Mexico. We've had so much smoke from the wind and these fires are down south in the Gila wilderness. I just heard that over 80,000 acres have burned and 0 containment .. which is pretty sad.
It has been so windy .. no wonder the fires are spreading like crazy. There was another fire in Pilar .. but they got that out pretty quickly .. only burned about 5 acres .. but that is bad too.
Some teenagers started another fire in Moriarty area because "they got lost and started a fire to get found" ... I could of strangled these kids ... why did they get out of formation from their group ... stupid kids. That burned quite a bit of land .. but cannot remember.
I see you have some snake-fighters .. just be care with those snakes. I've seen a couple of Bull Snakes on the road to my home .. but nothing else ... thank God .. as I hate snakes .. though they say Bull Snakes are good for killing the mice and rodents.
Anyway, Pat ... hoping you stay cool as we are indoors with the air conditioning on. Cupcake is unleashed inside the house .. but has to be leashed when I walk her. She has 3 more weeks of crating and then we shall see what the doctor tells us.
Cupcake will be 4 years old in July and Xander just turned 3 in May.
Sending many hugs your way ... have a grand day.

I know there is a special party at the bridge today with your dear Fayeroe the guest of honor. Celebrate your baby girl today with joy and when you feel the kiss of an angel wing on your cheek as she dips to earth laugh and smile with her. (((())))
05-25-2012 12:05 PM -- By: mom, From: your heart Dearest Fayeroe: Our morning poem. Picture us in the garden in Lockhart and I'm sitting in the grey chair, reading to you from Mary Oliver. I don't know how I'm going to get through this day. How you loved our morning ritual. You always had a sip of coffee and your own smoothie. Mango/banana was our favorite. I miss you so much. So much. Happy Birthday, Happy Big Girl, my ray of sunshine since I picked you up and cuddled you in the front of my overalls..not caring about the fleas or whatever else you had on you..knowing that I had found a very special little girl to help me navigate my way through this crazy life. I love you, Fayeroe, and will see you again one day. I know you're having a big party today. Have fun and eat all the chocolate you want. Love, Mom
Morning Poem
Every morning
the world
is created.
Under the orange
sticks of the sun
the heaped
ashes of the night
turn into leaves again
and fasten themselves to the high branches ---
and the ponds appear
like black cloth
on which are painted islands
of summer lilies.
If it is your nature
to be happy
you will swim away along the soft trails
for hours, your imagination
alighting everywhere.
And if your spirit
carries within it
the thorn
that is heavier than lead ---
if it's all you can do
to keep on trudging ---
there is still
somewhere deep within you
a beast shouting that the earth
is exactly what it wanted ---
each pond with its blazing lilies
is a prayer heard and answered
lavishly,
every morning,
whether or not
you have ever dared to be happy,
whether or not
you have ever dared to pray.

Dearest Pat and precious Fayeroe ... just stopping by to wish Fayeroe a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Fayeroe, may your day be a beautiful day filled with lots of fun and lots of goodies. I know there will be a grand celebration today in your honor.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ... Fayeroe
Pat, hoping all is well your way. Things here are horrible, a huge fire down in the Gila and over 70,000 acres burned .. how sad. Lots of smoke up here in Santa Fe.
