Look! Rainbows! - very well written,

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our site... you had such a beautiful girl in Molly.  Her story (and I got more to read) is wonderful.  I get a little biased at times and stop moreso on cat stories than dogs, so you gave us a little love 'from the other side', or at least the side that drools more :-)  I love the stories of the rainbows, it makes me feel peace.  I'm just beginning to get with it, to come around, and I needed this today.  Wow, and I do like doves as well.  I often wonder about not paying attention to signs - for many years we've become avid birders - this year we couldn't find the strength to leave the house, who wanted to leave after losing our friend Maui? Well, early spring came a Western Tananger who stayed with us for about two weeks + /the bird is so rare here, I reported it to the state and needed to provide pictures for them to believe it.  Two days ago I 'wished' Westy would come back (secretly thinking maybe that was Maui, wow, pay attention!!) well, I didn't see Westy yesterday, but stayed home ill- took the trash out to find a Pileated woodpecker (common, but not, we've never had one at the house in eleven years) I've not seen one closer than 30' - this little one feasted with me 10' away for over 15minutes.  My Maui, her spirit is here/my wish for Westy was about a sign, I needed a sign - my little girl is hanging out at the bridge (the snowier side) having a ball and I hope - eating way too much :-)

On another note, I believe I got what you meant with your decision regarding Molly.  I made the other decision.  I'm glad I did.  However, it delayed the inivitable, it made me want to run after the tech to be sure she was really gone (my partner stopped that)... maybe you weren't supposed to go through that? Be good to yourself...

Peace

Thank you for your note about Annie. Time seems to have flown by but her memory still lingers brightly. I just lost another Shepherd that was also named Molly recently so your site touched me there as well. All the best

Thank you for visiting Luna's memoral on her 4th Angelversary.

Reading your story about Molly brought tears to my eyes.  She was definitely a very special pet and so lucky to have such loving caregivers.

Like you, I look forward to seeing our friends again someday at Rainbow Bridge.

Hi Skye. I just stopped by to say Hello as you and Molly were in my thoughts. A dog that was dropped off at the shelter over the weekend reminded me of Molly.Although it was a male,he has Molly's features and her coloring but not as dainty as she is.He is a very sweet boy but his owners who are elderly are moving to an apartment and can not take him. "how sad". Anyway they wanted to make sure he got a good home, which he certainly will. He is not used to kids so i have to place him with elderly people. He is eight years old so will be best suited with elderly loving people. There are two elderly couples who i have in mind, that have been looking for a older dog. One of the couples is coming to meet him today.

Anyway i just read about Kyleigh. I am so sorry to read the sad news. I will keep good thoughts and keep  you and Kyleigh in my prayers. I hope all goes well.

I know Molly will be there to give you strenght through this as i know it is not easy when one of out fur kids are ill.

Take care and know I am thinking of you and Kyleigh.Hugs

10-01-2010 10:31 PM -- By: Linda,  From: NJ

Hi Skye,

Thanks for stopping by. I hope all went well will your girl Kyleigh. I hate to hear things like that, I hope all will turn out well with her. I am so sorry. I will pray for her tonight. I am battling bronchitis and an ear infection I went to the doctor Wednesday and he told me that's what it is and put me on some medicine. This weather is so wacky all over. Yesterday we were hit with that flooding.Tonight the temp will drop almost 30 degrees. That's why everyone is sick. I made chicken soup in a crock pot ( being it really just cooks itself) I cannot wait to have some.

Well, Skye my friend I hope you have a great weekend, and I hope you had some good news. I will be praying for you. Look into the beautiful changing leaves and I am sure you will feel that beautiful Molly girl standing right next to you giving you a giant embrace.

Have a good night. Many hugs to you Molly, and Teddy boy.

xo

Linda

My Dearest Molly:

I got some devastating news today.  Despite me always keeping Kyleigh indoors, keeping her away from other cats, and giving her the very best of care, my beloved Kyleigh has tested positive for FIV (Feline AIDS).  Apparently she caught the disease prior to me adopting her from the rescue group.  In my heart, I kept feeling like something was very wrong, but I never expected this.  Oh sweet girl, I feel so devastated -- so very sad -- as I don't know what I will ever do without my Kyleigh.  As you know, Kyleigh helped to mend my shattered heart after my precious Keyshah died years ago, and she has been my loving velcro sidekick ever since.  She goes for x-rays on her heart and lungs on Friday.  PLEASE watch over her for me, Molly Girl, and please try to help keep her safe and comfortable.  And let's hope she still has many more happy years to look forward to.

I Love You.... Always & Forever,
~Skye

09-29-2010 10:00 AM -- By: Mat,  From:

Skye,

I want to thank you for your very kind words that you left on Abbey's page.  Reading through your memorial, I can see that Molly had the same affinity for life that Abbey did, always dog smiling, looking for squirrels, running like crazy through the living room, and almost understanding everything we said when we spoke to her.  Much like you, our hearts are completely broken.  You spoke of guilt on your last day, and I feel it as well.  She had gotten out because I left the door open while working in the yard.  We searched for Abbey for over an hour, and she was just on the other side of the fence of one of the neighbours pool.  She ended up getting stuck on the solar blanket and I just feel so terrible that we couldn't be there for her when she needed us the most.  She was always there for us, whenever we needed her, and we loved her with all of our hearts.  The void and feeling of emptiness she has left is overwhelming.  I could have never imagined making such a connection with a dog, but she embraced life, and loved everyone around her, and she made our world that much happier.  Your memorial to Molly is beautifull.  She seemed like such a sweetheart and I am so sorry that she is gone.  It is extremly nice to see that you all hold her so close to your heart.  It also extremly nice to see that so many other make the same connections with pets.  They truly make this world a better place.  It is funny, after reading about Molly's final day, I am now remembering that the last week leading up to Abbey's passing, I remember now seeing an unusual amount of rainbows in the sky.  Considering we had not seen any all summer, perhaps this was our sign that Abbey was about to leave.  I just wish we could have been more prepared, but, clearly you cannot prepare for something like that to happen.  You message truly means alot.  I hope that Molly and Abbey find each other, I know they would very much enjoy each other's company.  My deepest sympathies, and again, thank you for message.

Dear Skye,
I came upon your dog's beautiful memorial quite unexpectedly and I have spent much of the afternoon with my Kleenex box reading through it. Though I have to admit, your pages also had me smiling and laughing a bit too, which is something I have not done since my own dog died 5 1/2 months ago. The deep love and friendship you shared with Molly is so touching and I can definitely relate to it. I admire how you focus on the happy memories of her and use that to celebrate her life. I am sure she is proud of the way you have honored her. Thank you for teaching me a wonderful lesson that I can now use in my own healing.
Take Care & God Bless,
Paula

Skye - What a beautiful and special girl Molly was!    You were truly blessed to have such a wonderful best buddy.  Looking at photos of her, I can see the love and wisdom in her eyes.  You and your family shared such a wonderful connection with her.  And I love her bandana collection!

Thank you for stopping by Stormy's web page.  Your comments really touched me.  I think Molly and Stormy would have liked each other.  Who knows, maybe they're playing together at the Rainbow Bridge while they wait for us.

Thank you for sharing so much about your beautiful angel Molly.  I wish I had known her.

Wishing you peace and comfort,

Mindy - Stormy's Mom

Hi Skye! Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. We are going to be fairly busy with a neighborhood party, but it should be a lot of fun. At least we have beautiful sunny weather this weekend, unlike last weekend where it poured rain the whole time. Anyway, hope you are doing well and have something fun planned for your weekend, you certainly deserve it after all the hard work on your house! Take care and sending big hugs to you and Teddy.

And big hugs to precious, beautiful Molly girl too, I know our sweet angel girls are always sending lots of love to us and letting us know they are always with us.

Hi Skye,

Thank you again for your kind comments, I really do appreciate them. Your memorial to Molly has greatly inspired me and has shown me that there is someone out there who loves her fur friend so much just like I have for my wonderful Blackie.

I am very amazed that Molly has given you so many signs since she passed on, especially the page "I thought of you to-day sweet girl", regarding the wind chimes and also at the memorial park. She is trying to tell you that she loves you so much even after death.

I believe that our pets do appreciate our love for them and they create a bond with us that is forever. Thank you Skye for Molly's memorial which has touched my heart tremendously.

All the best,

Gerry & Blackie

To Gerry:

Thank you again for stopping by.  I stopped by Blackie's memorial and read the beautiful pages you wrote in memory of him.  It is obvious how very much you love him.  I am sure he feels very honored and blessed to have been so loved and cherished by your caring family.  And to think he started life as a feral cat?  When he met your loving family and you opened up your hearts and home to him, I am sure Blackie thought he had met angels on earth!  Thank you again for taking the time to look at Molly's memorial (there will be new pages added in a few months hopefully, so feel free to stop back by), and thank you for sharing Blackie's memorial with me.  I wish you the very best -- I am sure your precious boy watches over you and is with you in spirit.  Take Care, Skye
