My Dearest Molly:

I got some devastating news today.  Despite me always keeping Kyleigh indoors, keeping her away from other cats, and giving her the very best of care, my beloved Kyleigh has tested positive for FIV (Feline AIDS).  Apparently she caught the disease prior to me adopting her from the rescue group.  In my heart, I kept feeling like something was very wrong, but I never expected this.  Oh sweet girl, I feel so devastated -- so very sad -- as I don't know what I will ever do without my Kyleigh.  As you know, Kyleigh helped to mend my shattered heart after my precious Keyshah died years ago, and she has been my loving velcro sidekick ever since.  She goes for x-rays on her heart and lungs on Friday.  PLEASE watch over her for me, Molly Girl, and please try to help keep her safe and comfortable.  And let's hope she still has many more happy years to look forward to.

I Love You.... Always & Forever,
~Skye

Skye,

I want to thank you for your very kind words that you left on Abbey's page.  Reading through your memorial, I can see that Molly had the same affinity for life that Abbey did, always dog smiling, looking for squirrels, running like crazy through the living room, and almost understanding everything we said when we spoke to her.  Much like you, our hearts are completely broken.  You spoke of guilt on your last day, and I feel it as well.  She had gotten out because I left the door open while working in the yard.  We searched for Abbey for over an hour, and she was just on the other side of the fence of one of the neighbours pool.  She ended up getting stuck on the solar blanket and I just feel so terrible that we couldn't be there for her when she needed us the most.  She was always there for us, whenever we needed her, and we loved her with all of our hearts.  The void and feeling of emptiness she has left is overwhelming.  I could have never imagined making such a connection with a dog, but she embraced life, and loved everyone around her, and she made our world that much happier.  Your memorial to Molly is beautifull.  She seemed like such a sweetheart and I am so sorry that she is gone.  It is extremly nice to see that you all hold her so close to your heart.  It also extremly nice to see that so many other make the same connections with pets.  They truly make this world a better place.  It is funny, after reading about Molly's final day, I am now remembering that the last week leading up to Abbey's passing, I remember now seeing an unusual amount of rainbows in the sky.  Considering we had not seen any all summer, perhaps this was our sign that Abbey was about to leave.  I just wish we could have been more prepared, but, clearly you cannot prepare for something like that to happen.  You message truly means alot.  I hope that Molly and Abbey find each other, I know they would very much enjoy each other's company.  My deepest sympathies, and again, thank you for message.

Dear Skye,
I came upon your dog's beautiful memorial quite unexpectedly and I have spent much of the afternoon with my Kleenex box reading through it. Though I have to admit, your pages also had me smiling and laughing a bit too, which is something I have not done since my own dog died 5 1/2 months ago. The deep love and friendship you shared with Molly is so touching and I can definitely relate to it. I admire how you focus on the happy memories of her and use that to celebrate her life. I am sure she is proud of the way you have honored her. Thank you for teaching me a wonderful lesson that I can now use in my own healing.
Take Care & God Bless,
Paula

Skye - What a beautiful and special girl Molly was!    You were truly blessed to have such a wonderful best buddy.  Looking at photos of her, I can see the love and wisdom in her eyes.  You and your family shared such a wonderful connection with her.  And I love her bandana collection!

Thank you for stopping by Stormy's web page.  Your comments really touched me.  I think Molly and Stormy would have liked each other.  Who knows, maybe they're playing together at the Rainbow Bridge while they wait for us.

Thank you for sharing so much about your beautiful angel Molly.  I wish I had known her.

Wishing you peace and comfort,

Mindy - Stormy's Mom

Hi Skye! Hope you have a wonderful weekend as well. We are going to be fairly busy with a neighborhood party, but it should be a lot of fun. At least we have beautiful sunny weather this weekend, unlike last weekend where it poured rain the whole time. Anyway, hope you are doing well and have something fun planned for your weekend, you certainly deserve it after all the hard work on your house! Take care and sending big hugs to you and Teddy.

And big hugs to precious, beautiful Molly girl too, I know our sweet angel girls are always sending lots of love to us and letting us know they are always with us.

Hi Skye,

Thank you again for your kind comments, I really do appreciate them. Your memorial to Molly has greatly inspired me and has shown me that there is someone out there who loves her fur friend so much just like I have for my wonderful Blackie.

I am very amazed that Molly has given you so many signs since she passed on, especially the page "I thought of you to-day sweet girl", regarding the wind chimes and also at the memorial park. She is trying to tell you that she loves you so much even after death.

I believe that our pets do appreciate our love for them and they create a bond with us that is forever. Thank you Skye for Molly's memorial which has touched my heart tremendously.

All the best,

Gerry & Blackie

To Gerry:

Thank you again for stopping by.  I stopped by Blackie's memorial and read the beautiful pages you wrote in memory of him.  It is obvious how very much you love him.  I am sure he feels very honored and blessed to have been so loved and cherished by your caring family.  And to think he started life as a feral cat?  When he met your loving family and you opened up your hearts and home to him, I am sure Blackie thought he had met angels on earth!  Thank you again for taking the time to look at Molly's memorial (there will be new pages added in a few months hopefully, so feel free to stop back by), and thank you for sharing Blackie's memorial with me.  I wish you the very best -- I am sure your precious boy watches over you and is with you in spirit.  Take Care, Skye

Hi Skye,

Thank you so much for your reply and yes I paid tribute to my sweetie Blackie at the in-memory-of pets website. You can find my tributes by clicking on search & Blackie. Scroll down and you can find them.

Oh yes! from Molly's photos you can really see the love shining from her face like sun rays. She was and is a true blessing.

Best regards,

Gerry & Blackie

Hi Skye - Just had to stop and look over Molly's beautiful memorial and let you know you have been in my thoughts. I love the Ode To Our Sunshine Girl page so much, she certainly had a sunny personality. Those pictures of the sunflowers and the sunflower costume, reminds me that I have a photo somewhere (in my piles of pictures lol) of Jessica in a similar sunflower costume that I made her for Halloween. Hope all has been well out your way and that your house repairs are going smoothly. We are doing good here and the weather is finally cooling off, they are predicting rain for the weekend too. Juji is doing good and is laying down near me in the office while I work, she is such a good little helper... at least for today LOL. Most times she is barking and crying for me to let her outside every few minutes. Well, have a great weekend and I hope you are able get out and doing something enjoyable!  How is Teddy doing? Hope he is doing better every day on his new food. Take care and sending big hugs to you and Teddy!!! Gina xoxo

To Gerry:
Thank you for the lovely posting below -- and thank you so very much for taking the time to read Molly's memorial.  I greatly appreciate your visit and your kind words.  And I do believe your beloved Blackie sent that look-alike kitty to visit you to let you know that he was okay and that he will love you forever no matter where he is.  I, too, had a very similar experience around Molly's 1st Anniversary date which was very emotional, and I hope to write about it in the future -- I just have not been able to bring myself to do it quite yet.  But I hope you stop back by Molly's memorial down the road so that you can read about it, as I know you will relate to it.  Thank you again for stopping by.  I know someday you will find another wonderful, loving forever friend when the time is right -- it is obvious that your heart has plenty of love to give.  Take Care & Best Wishes.

P.S.... I could not find a memorial for Blackie but if you have one, please let me know.

Hi Skye,

What a wonderful memorial that you made to Molly, it brought tears, smiles and all sorts of emotions to me. I truly believe in signs sent to us by our pets in that this actually happened to me too. My rag doll mixed cat Blackie passed away 6 years ago and the next day after his passing, a similar younger cat who looked just like my Blackie came to my glass sliding door and meowed. He was not afraid of me at all as I approached him to say hello, he stayed in my garden for half a day.  For six years I have been looking for that cat but to no avail.

I do believe that Blackie must have communicated with him and sent him to me to tell me that he is fine and not to worry and to thank me for loving him. I believe that he is at Rainbow bridge with your lovely Molly.

Skye and Molly,

Thank you for stopping by to say Hi to Bogie. He is still in our hearts and we miss him terribly. We have rescued two more boxers Tonka and Lacie and tell them about Bogie all the time. I still have my Bogie angel in my backyard where Bogie was sent to the Rainbow Bridge. Your Molly sure is a beautiful Girl. What lovely pics you have of her. These wonderful creatures God gave us sure get into our hearts. I have so much love for all of them and rescue as many as I can now and foster.  Good luck you you and again thank you for remembering Bogie, that means a lot to us. Peace, Robyn

Hey there Skye!
I wanted to stop by and wish you a belated Happy Labor Day! lol  I know I am a week late but we were up in the Poconos with some great friends of ours and we had a blast. It's always so pretty up there and so many great places to hike. We brought all the dogs and even the dogs were great, even my nutty Tarzan!  I hope your holiday weekend was fun too. Just wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and of sweet Molly of course. Have a great weekend!  Take Care, Steve

Hi Skye and beautiful Molly. I just wanted to stop by and say Hello and let you know i have not forgotten you. I have been enjoying my days outdoors lately so have not been on here too often.

The weather here has finally started to cool down which i am certainly enjoying. This past summer was just too hot for my likeing. All the fur kids are enjoying the outdoors now as well. They spend the whole day outside playing and soon the leaves will be falling and they just love to chase the blowing leaves around, not to mention get into my pile of raked leaves and mess things up. LOL. We always have fun at raking time.

I hope all is well with you and your weather has cooled some also. I hope you have gotten the much needed rain .

Have a sunny fun filled weekend.

Take care.

Sunshine on my shoulders . . . I just LOVE to visit Molly's Sunshine page!  She is truly your sunshine girl -

Skye, I hear that Dale gave Miss Molly a proper thank you for the birthday card - a sweet little butterfly kiss!!

Good to hear from you, I'm sure things are starting to cool down a bit up in the mountains, eh?  I haven't seen leaves change colors in many, many years!  I can even feel fall here in the mornings though it makes me sad that summer is coming to an end already - I just don't know where it went this year -

But wanted to stop by with special morning hugs for you and Molly and, as always, Mr. Teddy!!!

Your welcome! My heart goes out to you.  I know how you feel.  Molly has such a sweet face.  Have you ever seen the movie Ghost?  The girl in the movie's name was Molly.  Her lover's spirit told her that "the love, you take with you"...to heaven.   I am sure Molly feels the love you cherished upon her.  That is why her spirit will always burn bright.

09-07-2010 1:49 PM -- By: MaryAnn,  From: NY/PA

Molly was so beautiful.  It is so hard to let them go isn't it?

They will always be with us. Their spirits are so powerful and they said so little.

They are angels in fur and they are still with us.

Thank you for stopping by my page.  I appreciate it.  I miss my Toby every day.  I still can not believe he is gone.  16 years is a long time.

Dearest Skye and precious Molly ... just stopping by on this Labor Day weekend to say "HI" and to make sure all is well out your way.

Things here are still warm and dry .. and, of course, a "weekend of labor" for me .. as I am sure it is for you too.  Been doing more roof repairs and did some work in my kitchen .. to "spruce it up" a bit ....

The leaves are starting to turn yellow here at my home .. so fall is soon upon us .. and then winter ... this summer just flew by .....

Sending hugs always .....

Hope you are having great weather for this Labor Day weekend!!  We are just staying home this weekend and no plans for traveling, so it will be somewhat relaxing. Hope you and Teddy are doing well. Take care and sending hugs your way, Gina

So far I have only gotten through about half of your memorial and it has really touched my heart deeply. Molly is such a beautiful dog both inside and out and I can tell you shared a very special bond. Sometimes that one special pet comes along who really steals our heart away and who we never forget. And I have to believe that they wait for us in a better place.
