 Dear Pat & Bruce,

Your kind words and the experiences that have shared deeply touched me. And proved once again that in this sometimes cruel world dogs and their caregivers are the best. In a way I feel sorry for those out there who believe that a companion animal is "just a dog" (or cat) because that makes them "just people" who truly have not experienced the joy, loyalty and love that our animals bring us. Hopefully someday that will open their hearts and mind to find out what they have been missing in their lives.

And to Nancy, Treynor and wish you and your buddy a happy and joyous birthday.

Richard, your memorial page brought me to tears. I can identify with so much of what you wrote. Tippy and I put 330,000 miles on two pickup trucks. I know that you know that there is no navigator like   special friends, such as Treynor and Tippy. We camped so many times and hiked so much. I photographed rodeos with Tippy always watching me from the cab of the truck. Of course I have to give him credit for so much of the work that has been put into the book.

Today is the 45th birthday for my oldest daughter. I read to her, over the phone, some of your memories of Treynor and she was also in tears. She said to tell you that so many good "dogs and cats" met Treynor on the day he had to go..What a wonderful friend "your just a dog" was.

Birthday blessings, handsome and brave Treynor,and Dad Richard, on Treynor's 13th birthday.  I just met you on your 4th Angel day, but wanted to honor you on your birhtday, as well.  You have a place forever in your fathers heart. 

To Treynor's Dad Rich, we lost our beautiful girl Cinnamon, a red smooth mini Dachshund, to cancer on June 4th, 2012.  In spite of our vigalence, repeated visits to our pimary vet, and the best cancer care possible on the east coast (Ryan VHUP; CARES; RBVH) after her initial diagnosis, the cancer won.  Through her courage, love and devotion towards her family, Cinnamon blessed us with 7 more months.  What an honor it was to share more than 13yrs with this beautiful, brave spirit. 

Thank you for your efforts to alert people to the need to get their vet involved if anything unusual appears, and for supporting research into canine cancer.  These amazing souls add so much to any life they touch; wouldn't it be incredible if we could pay these beautiful creatures back through prevention and a cure.    Thank you again.

Richard, The spirt, bravery and stoicism of your Treynor to keep going in the face of this horrible disease is something that speaks to the amazing capacities these wonderful creatures and souls possess.  I am constantly humbled by how much they give to us and add to our lives.  Bless you and Treynor and the undying love and devotion you will always share.

Once again, thank you all for all of your kind words. It is extremely hard to believe that its over three years since Treynor crossed over the rainbow bridge. I still and will always think about him and miss him each and every day.

Its unfathomable to me that its been eleven years ago today since I made that cold drive to West Virginia to adopt you. The weather is almost the same as that cold clear night. I think about you every day and miss you more as time passes. Whoever said that time heals all wounds was never a proud companion to a Golden Retriever. I know that you are in a better place but that doesn't help the hurt and emptiness that will always remain in my heart.

You are and will always be my friend, my companion, my little boy.

I lost my 15 year old Chihuahua Picky on September 9th of this year. And I truely felt like I was totally alone on how DEEPLY I miss him. I

I came to visit your Treynor during my missing of Picky, and I must say, I feel like I found someone who truely understands the depth of my pain because Picky was with me 24/7.

I am terminal and Pickywas my life. I just wanted to say how sorry I am over Treynor. What a sweet sweet soul.

Tell me honestly, please. Does the pain ever ease? I feel like I am raw and alone and its agony. I tried getting another dog, but my grief only grew deeper.

God bless you and your precious Angel Treynor. I hope hes watching over my Picky on Rainbow Bridge.
