GOOD NIGHT SLEEP TIGHT, SWEET MILO

08-04-2010 7:09 PM -- By: glenise/daisy,  From:

Dear sweet Linda & handsome Milo & precious Sam,   Linda, I want to Thankyou sooo much for the beautiful poem you wrote for us and for always being there for us.  Thankyou for the monthly angel day visits and everything else you do for us. I am sorry that I did not get to you sooner, but I saved you til last as I knew would be a long post. I want to Thankyou from the depth of my heart for the true story you shared with me about Daisy''s tribute and the bicycle.  It's odd, for me also, as I was working on that page with that little tune written out on it in pink, a few days ago. I needed to re-formatt that page.  I almost did not do it, but then I felt compelled to.  So I read and re-read those words that we sang to her when she was young. And that has been on there in the pink letters from almost the very beginning of when we first came here.  So strange, but must be a sign. I have not had one hit me so hard as that one you posted. I was even sobbing, but in a good way.  I have asked for a sign, but what i asked for a sign of is hard to replicate, because i wanted to make so sure it was her, i asked for a sign that was not very simple. I have not gotten that sign as of yet, and may never, but what you did for me last nite, I can never repay.  That's how much it meant to me.  Thankyou again, for sharing that with me. I do not always remember the monthly angel days either, and even daisy's, i am just like you with that, i have to refer to my list...lol  so you are not alone there!  But however it struck you,  did you think of it while doing that painting?  or did you think something when that bicycle planter kept falling?  And did those words just flow and then after you wrote poem you saw on daisy's about the bicycle?  Was just wondering.  How interesting that it all came about and unfolded in the way it did. And your poem even talks about the sea and shore and i am working on a special pg for her with those on it. No doubt in my mind there is a sign there. Well, I tell you again, such a wonderful and peaceful gift you have given me and i can never repay you for it.  Just know that.  Thankyou and Bless You for all you do for us, as well as others and for being our special friends.  My close friends on here, are what gets me through the day and keeps me going....xoxoxo   Love always, glenise & daisy

ps   I think i already thanked you for it, but Thanks again for the true story of pine trees, crosses, sign too!! I loved that also!

ps....i will ask daisy to take milo on a bicycle ride with her in the beautiful heavens....i am certain they are.

08-01-2010 12:51 AM -- By: glenise,  From:

Hi Linda and handsome little Milo, precious Sam,   Well, we got back from our 10 day trip late Thurs.  Been trying to unpack, do laundries, and get back to normal ever since then, but is a slow process. I can only accomplish so much in a day and then am exhausted...my age is showing...lol

Yes, is always beautiful scenery up there in the black hills of S Dakota and the air smells so fresh, maybe from pine trees.  Enjoyed  the wide open spaces for a change of pace.  We got to see about everyone we had planned to.  My daughter has a toddler and a newborn, she just had on memorial day, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect.

Thankyou Linda for your very nice visits and for checking up on us.  I saw some footage on that Maquoketa dam break after folks told me.  Looked terrible.  Massive amounts of water and damage.  I did not have a chance to see much more as we were on the move a lot during our trip.  I hope there were no lives lost in it.

Linda your new pages are awesome!  I have been browsing through and admiring them.  And you write such beautiful poems.  I like your Stand by Me for Milo and your What a Wonderful World poem,  well, actually i like all your poems.  I see you have some Robert Frost, i like him too and Sister Theresa always has such wonderful quotes and words of wisdom.  Anyway, just wanted to say you have certainly been busy working hard on your little guys pages.  I am sure Milo is sooo proud.    Well, take care Linda and thankyou for the nice compliments on daisy's new pg too.  Your friends always,  glenise & daisy

ps   How's little Toni doing, i was looking at her pics too, such a cutie!

Hi Linda and sweethearts Milo & Sam:    Thankyou so much for writing us on that  Maquoketa dam break Linda.   Jules had mentioned it about same time as you.  I looked on internet to see where it was in Iowa, looks to be near Chicago.  Wow, good thing we already visited there, that would be a terrible mess.  I just saw some video footage this morning and looks awful. I did not get to watch long and don't have any idea of the extent of damage or people or lives involved.  But my heart goes out to them.  We are on vacation up by Mount Rushmore and also Nebraska area.  If our vacation destinations had been the other way around with Chicago the later, instead of where we are now, yes, we very possibley could have been going near that vicinity of New Deli.

How are you doing Linda?  hope all is well with you and your family.  Thinking of you and sweet Milo,  your friends, glenise/daisy

ps.   Linda, i have been trying to stay in touch with our critters family and write to a few folks each day.  There have been days when i write and after a couple posts i lose internet service.  We are at a motel right now with internet in the lobby, so i am taking full advantage of it.  I am very sorry, i am a day late for Milo's angel day.  I think of you often, as i know you are near his angel year mark.  On daisy's 6 month angel mark it was very hard for me, so i cannot imagine, but please know we and others are always thinking of you.  Bless you, Linda,  Love, glenise & daisy

They are present within you.~

Hi Linda.  I see you have been working hard on Milo's Angelversary pages.  I know how hard that is for you, having recently gone through it with Misty.

Hey.  Don't forget Haven tonight..  Also, I've done some new pages on Misty's memorial.  Milo is present on one also.  Have a good weekend.  Can't wait for True Blood and The Gates.

07-22-2010 2:13 PM -- By: Skye,  From:

Hi Linda -- Your messages came through today so I have the name of the place now.  Thanks so much for your help.  I will look into them.  I appreciate your efforts and your patience in trying to get your postings to go thru.  I didn't mention that at the same that I have been searching for a new high-quality healthy diet for Teddy that I have also been switching my senior rescue cat over to a different high-quality (expensive) food as well, as she too struggles with some digestive issues (though definitely not as badly as he does).  Now, my cat is not a picky one at all and she will eat most anything due to her time spent starving before she was rescued (you have to make sure the garbage can is never left out, and if you don't watch her carefully, she will get into a plate of any human food if you set it down) -- and I have even seen her eat a piece of lint off the floor!  But wouldn't it figure that I just bought her this new very expensive healthy food and she won't eat it!  LOL.  It's never a dull moment with her - she keeps me on my toes!  :)  Well, thanks again for the referral to Paw Healer - I appreciate it.  I surely hope that you do not get any tornados!  They absolutely terrify me!  Be safe and I will say a little prayer for you guys up there.  Thanks again!

07-22-2010 12:58 AM -- By: Skye,  From:

Oh, I think maybe that's why nothing posted then -- I think if you put an email address or a web address in the body of the posting, nothing will post I believe.  I know I have been able to send an email address in the "where are you from" slot and have had no trouble.  But I'm not sure if that would work with a web address.  If you tell me the name of the place and they have a web address, then I can probably just find it on the web just by searching with the name.  I appreciate you thinking of me and trying to offer me some help with Teddy.  I did put him on some pure pureed pumpkin (no sugar added) to help with his stomach and digestion (esp. after having the bad reaction from the recent medication), and that has helped a little.  Thanks again for thinking of my boy.   :)

Hi Linda - I've posted all the ones I have gotten.  Maybe the storms have interfered with the connection.  I know sometimes if my internet browser is running slowly, posts sometimes don't go thru -- though sometimes it could just be a Critter's glitch too once in awhile.

Hey, your message did not go thru -- but thanks for stopping by anyway.    :)

07-21-2010 1:55 PM -- By: Skye,  From:

Oh Linda!  Could Toni be any cuter?  She is just adorable!  I especially love the first photo, as the sweetness just beams from her face!  I am sure your precious boy sent her to you -- he knew you needed he each other.  I often think maybe Molly did the same thing with me and Teddy, as I was certainly not looking for a dog at the time and I had never even owned a male dog before, but yet I was just overwhelmingly compelled to rescue this sweet, sad-eyed boy from the shelter before it was too late.  And in the end, I think Teddy probably helped to save me just as much as I saved him, as my heart was left so completely shattered after Molly died, and it was Teddy who started to help me heal.  Oh and I have not been trying to get time alone, I have just been sick and have also been so very consumed with researching on Teddy's behalf and trying to find a possible medical cause for his problems (since $500 in diagnostic tests revealed no answers), searching for a another new healthy diet for him, and trying to help him get over the negative side effects from a drug reaction.  But you are right, it is very stressful when our furkids are sick, especially since they cannot tell you in words what is wrong or how they are feeling.  I just want my boy to start feeling better - I love him so.  I am hoping a change in diet and eventually cooler weather will at least be good for him.  Well, I enjoyed seeing Toni, and I am so happy that you have her in your life.  I'm sure Milo is glad too.  :)  Have a great rest of the week!  Hugs to you and to all of your precious furkids

P.S.... Your memorial looks wonderful!

Sorry Linda... I just realized that I typed "Miles" instead of Milo -- Sorry!  I always mess up posts when I type late at night or in the wee hours of the a.m.!  So sorry precious Milo boy -- I would never forget your name  :)

07-21-2010 2:00 AM -- By: Skye,  From:

Hi Linda.... Thanks so much for stopping by.  Sorry it has taken me awhile to drop you a post back, but my dog Teddy has been sick for quite awhile (and so have I) and I have not been on Critters much in the past couple weeks -- my focus and attention has just been elsewhere.  I am sorry to hear that the roll of film did not yield any photos of Miles, but I am very happy to hear that it was found and that it ended up being a wonderful roll with pics of your Mom & Sam.  My goodness, you sure had that roll sitting around for quite awhile!  And I thought I was bad about remembering to get my 35mm film developed!  LOL   I am glad you were still able to get that developed where you are located.  I do not have an easy time finding anyone here locally who will develop 35mm film anymore -- the local SuperWalmart even did away with 35mm developing, saying that it simply is not cost effective for most places to still develop 35mm film since most people now use digital cameras.  And the last few rolls that I did manage to get developed here looked absolutely horrible due to the substandard developing process that was being used as they were phasing out the 35mm developing.  Too bad -- I loved using my 35mm camera.  Speaking of photos, I would love to see a photo of Toni sometime -- she sounds like a doll.  Corgi's always have the sweetest little faces & the cutest little doggie grins.  :)  I am glad that you found her (or that she found you) so that she can bring some special joy into your life, just like Sam & Milo did.  Well, I hope you are staying cool in NJ -- we are sweltering in NC!  But, I don't want to complain too much because before you know it we'll be back to snow shoveling again!  :)  YIKES!   Hope you have a great week.  Hugs to You, Milo, Sam, & Toni
