Here we are six months later... we all miss you very much. This morning's shower will be quiet. I've never had anything affect me like losing you has affected me. I took that cute face for granted. You will remain forever in my heart. So beautiful you are, I love you my little Maui :-) I miss you crazy.

today when I was sad.

A gentle, kind, and loving touch
that seemed to hold me near.

Immediately, I felt so much better

Hi Carla, Bonnie and gorgeous girl, Maui, I have always loved kitties and siamese are beautiful. I had a saimese yrs ago. Her name was Shanghai. She lived to around 13 yrs. then got cancer.

So glad to hear your Esme is doing better and that you recieved good news. Yes, i can certainly understand being leary of meds. Daisy had too many side effects from some of them. It's a good idea to read up on the meds they are taking and watch for any ill effects or side effects.

We have returned back home from our trip. We had a wonderful time and got to catch up with family and friends. Was really a fun time, but it is so nice to get back. too. Only thing is it takes days to get unpacked and re-organized and back to routine. Guess that's why it works best for us to go in summer rather than school year. My son is starting into 8th grade in the fall.

Yes they have gotten further with Crazy Horse monument. Actually i did not see it this time, but friends told me it is coming along nicely. I'm sure will be beautiful when they are finished. I did see it a couple years ago and could see some progress then. Mount Rushmore is another awesome place to see. They have re-done the parking up there and made it bigger. They have all the different states and countries flags displayed as you ascend the long steps up. and they have a nitely, light-up ceremony to view the faces. It's a spectacular vision to see their faces lit up at nite. Looks just like the president's are looking right at you. I was wondering if you folks live near Mall of America? We were there about 7 years ago and really enjoyed it.

I had a kittie named Cheyenne for over 19 years and she head butted every thing one time she me hit so hard I got a head ache, hope Esme is doing better! ps I hear there is a big pizza party in the works for the 5th of Aug the rainbow angels are all getting ready.

The Animals’’ Eden

The Animals’’ Eden is a huge, beautiful walled garden
where all pets go until such time as their human companions can join them.
(Although only pet animals go to this walled garden,
there are other special places for all the other animals, and especially beautiful places
for animals that have suffered while on Earth, since their souls need peace and healing before they can move on.
The garden is full of lawns and hedges,
flower borders and shrubs, wildflower meadows and red brick patios.
All of this is surrounded by a beautiful decorative wall,
just like an English garden from the Middle Ages,
but much, much larger—— so large that none of the animals feel as though they are in any way enclosed.
All the pets who have passed into the Animals’’ Eden and are waiting for their special humans
are free to do whatever they want, and because it is a heavenly place,
none of them wants to do anything that would harm their animal friends.
The horses and ponies graze and gallop in the meadows.
The dogs romp on the lawns and sniff in the shrubberies.
The cats lounge on the patios, basking in the sunshine,
or take their ease in the dappled shade of the great oak trees.
Birds are no longer caged, but fly free in the trees,
eating the plentiful fruits and berries. None of them actually feel hungry,
but are provided with heavenly food if they wish,
so long as they can eat without harming the others waiting alongside them.
The garden has every kind of animal who has ever been a pet and who has someone special to wait for.
There is a beautiful arch in the garden wall,
the sort of brick arch that might have held a wrought iron gate in earthly gardens.
Sometimes one or more of the animals gets a funny feeling,
a bit like butterflies in the tummy.
Those animals stop their playing or basking, and make their way to the archway.
They sense that something special is about to happen.
When they reach the gate they can see that their special human is walking toward the archway.
Then, because the Animals’’ Eden is a place for animals only,
those animals can pass through the arch to join their human friends,
and walk together in the sunshine on the next stage of their souls’’ journey.
For although the garden is a beautiful and happy place,
there is nothing more joyful than a reunion between dear friends who have been apart too long.

Well Maui, this is the first time I have said anything to you, I miss you so much and wanted to tell you about your sister, you would be so proud of her now, I know you would. Mommies took her to the Doc Saturday and guess what, the doctor came in and said this, " She is getting better, her results are back to almost normal, that is her kidneys". Can you believe that one Mau, I know that you would have headbutted her till no tomorrow for that one. She misses you we know it, and she is fighting like a trooper to keep us all happy. She takes care of herself when she needs to rest, just as you did, and we have to make the long trek in the basement to see her. But it is good...your bedroom, which I am in now, is still not the same, and Mommy and I were just looking at your pictures on the computer this morning. I just had to talk to you today Mau, I also miss your headbutts, and you laying on my back. What I miss the most is Mommy yelling your name and looking up in the air, pretending she does not know where you are and why you won't come to get a treat, only to see a smile on her face, just to get you to give us a big meow!!! And you trying to tell us you are right here, my goodness, can't you see me!! That will always be my favorite, and it is just not the same with the others. Yes she tries to do it with Shorty, but she is not as smart as you that is for sure.... ooppss I am telling on Mommy. Well should get going, just felt the need to tell you about your sister, she loves you very much and misses you as well as your two boys and your new little sister. We all love you with all of our hearts Maui, and think of you daily. Mommy 2.......

Hi Carla, Bonnie & Gorgeous girl, Maui,

We are on vacation right now in black hills of S Dakota. Seeing a little family and friends in Nebraska as well. So i try to get on computer when have a chance and keep in touch with my wonderful critters family and friends. We had thunderstorms warnings and tornado warnings when in Nebraska, but went over us, without any problems. They had baseball size hail two weeks ago, so you can imagine the damage to crops, homes and vehicles, to say the least. Thought of you folks and the thunderstorms. I, myself do sleep well during them. I do enjoy hearing the rainfall and the lightening is fascinating from a distance...ha. I tell you though, my husband works for railroad and he does not like the word rain at all! Are you getting enough or too much moisture out your way and is it humid there? wondered how your weather is right now,(looks like your in minneapolis?)

I totally understand what you mean about it being so hard without our kids. This spring/summer has been very hard for me too, so far. It is the first of those seasons since we lost Daisy and she would wait and watch for hours as we packed and all go together (including her) for our camping trips. I hope it will not hurt so much next season this time of year, but can only hope. I don't know if will ever have any desire to go camping again. That's just me. If we had another old dog that used to go with us too, it would probably not be this way, but since we don't, guess that is why i feel way i do. We do have 3 cats that keep me fairly busy, so that is a positive thing.

It's good that you are able to enjoy your pretty girl Esme. I looked at your photo album to see if could see her pic. She is a long-haired beauty as well and sounds like she has a lovely personality to match! I will pray for your Esme with her health issues. Hi Carla and Beautiful Maui. Just doing some visiting of memorials as i have been away on vacation for almost three weeks and have not done so. I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying the summer. I have to tell you Maui is just beautiful. I love her coloring.
