He loved you SO MUCH and you cherished him SO MUCH!! He will be waiting for you in Heaven at the Rainbow Bridge. I know it was so heartbreaking to have to say good-bye. We did it last year with our little Missy, and the pain and grief are still real and we still miss her so much. There are so many wonderful souls on this website who share your grief and who have compassion and understanding. Your Memphis was a miracle, and my thoughts and prayers are with you. A Parting Prayer
Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.
Assign him to a place of honour,
for he has been a faithful servant
and has always done his best to please us .
Bless the hands that send him to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing him from pain and suffering.
Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of his life
with the love he has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor him
by sharing those memories with others.
Let him remember me as well
and let him know that I will always love him.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow him to accompany those
who will bring me home.

11-19-2011 9:41 PM -- By: Nancy, From:  Oh how I've cried over the story reading about your Memphis. What a true angel he was to you. You and I have so much in common. My 15 year old chihuahua Picky had to go to Rainbow Bridge on Sept9 2010. We too, were together 24/7, and were as close as could be. I could tell Picky anything and he was the light of my life, and the heart in my soul.
I wanted you to know that I know how you are feeling and you are not alone. That whole of grief sure does hurt and its hard to see the light again. Please know that your Memphis is in the perfect place and he no longer has those seizures. He no longer has white gums as the fish and meat is plentiful where he is. I hope my Picky was there to greet him at Rainbow Bridge when he went home.
I'm so sorry for your loss
