Over the past five years since Princess was called from me today has often brought more tears than joy. This year, however, I thought and realized that had this day not happened 19 years ago this beautiful, sensitive and joyous spirit and I would never have enjoyed each other for almost 14 years.
HOW LUCKY I WAS IT DID!!!
This year I will celebrate, dance, sing and in general make a fool of myself. I may even eat ice cream and cake as I remember Princess and all of the birthdays we celebrated together.
After five years, the nose prints she left on the passenger side rear window of her car wil be cleaned. The places my car was taken for cleaning or repairs all knew never to clean that window. It was one of the last physical rememnats I had of Princess. Now I know those reminders are not who Princess was or who she is now. She lives on in my mind and heart and will never leave.
