Princess loved to ride in the car or truck. Her favorite was this old 1977 Chevy truck that was old when we got her (we bought it new and still have it.) She rode in it from the time she was a pup. She liked it best since it had a bench seat. She would stretch out and put her head in my lap so I could stroke her head and rub her ears. She could ride there without moving for hours. I miss that soft head in my lap.

In the car, this was her position of choice, curled up, nose on the window with the window all the way down so she could sniff the air as we went. The optimum speed, per Princess was 25MPH! Wherever or however we went, I took Princess with me if I could. One of her favorite days was Saturday...GARAGE SALE DAY! A treat after every stop, new smells, new people to stop by the car and a new pit stop now and then...what could be better.

This picture was taken on the ride back from the WSU Veterinary teaching Hospital where Princess recovered from an unusual and almost fatal reaction to her first chemo treatment. The loving and competent care she received there allowed me an additional 10 months of life with her. I will be forever grateful to them for that time.
