There are no words to express the unfathomable sadness we have felt since Ruffles passed away. While time may help ease the pain of our loss nothing will completely erase it.

Ruffles loved her family unconditionally. It wasn't uncommon to find her sitting on a sick bed providing comfort with her mere presence. She dutifully waited by the front door in order to greet her people with a Scottie smile and wagging tail. In her own special ways she celebrated with us during the joyful times and comforted us when all hope seemed lost.

She loved carrots and olives. She enjoyed keeping the yard free from invading pigeons. Nothing gave her more joy than playing in the snow then spending the rest of the day curled up in a warm blanket peacefully napping. To her, nothing was worse than a bath or a trip to the vet. Even those could be made up for with cookies and cuddles. Ruffles could tell you when it was dinner time within moments and refused to allow anyone to sit on her section of the couch. Most important she took care of and loved her family to the same degree that we cared for and loved her.
