In loving memory of our Missy who we love so much. Missy will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever. On March 2, 2008 Missy grew very tired and wasn't functioning very well. I called the emergency line at the vet and told them what was going on. They told me to bring her in. I took her in and the vet said that she looked very anemic and that he wanted to keep her and observe her. On Monday the 3rd, we got a phone call saying she was very ill and probably won't make it. They said she had Auto-immune hemolytic anemia. He gave her a blood transfusion and put her on several shots to keep her body from attacking itself. We visited her everyday to see how she was doing. We thought she was getting better, but it turned out to get worse on Sunday the March 9th. The vet called and told us she was having labored breathing and ask if we wanted to put her to sleep. We made the hardest choice to make. We told them to go ahead and put her to sleep because we didn't want her to suffer anymore. I just don't understand what went wrong. One minute she was healthy as can be and then the next she wasn't. I know the good Lord took you for a reason. I may never know what that reason is. WE MISS YOU SO TERRIBLY. IT'S LIKE LOSING A CHILD, BECAUSE SHE WAS LIKE OUR LITTLE BABY!!!!!!!
