In loving memory of our Sonic who we love so much. Sonic will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.
Sonic was the most fun loving, out going, smart, dedicated, devoted, and hilarious dog ever. Mom, Kristin, and I picked him out in the summer of 1994 and from that day on he warmed all of our hearts. He always knew how to make us laugh, dried our tears (with licks) when we cried, and was always excited to "go outside" and play with lizzards. Dad must have replaced at least 5 hoses because of him. He loved to open his own presents and if you weren't looking, he would open yours too! He loved his soccer ball, cheese, liver wurst, milkbone treats, doggy bagels from Einsteins, and his favorite song was BABY BELUGAH. :-) He loved swimming in the pool and loved to run in the fields up in North Florida. His favorite song with mommy was "You're my best friend." He was quite the little escape artist at times when he would sneak out into the canal, the front yard, or just to take a stroll in the neighborhood. He also loved to jump in the car and hide so that he could always go with us. :-)He was very obedient, knew lots of tricks, and was also a little bit spiteful if you left the house for too long. He loved us all so very much (except for biting Angela at times and showing his teeth.) :-)
We all will miss him very much, but most importantly he is in a better place now. We love you Sonic. Enjoy all the lizzards and garden hoses in heaven. Until we meet again.....
To all of my 2 and 4 legged friends that I have left behind,
I must leave first, to make the way
for you to follow me someday.
Beyond the sunset, where all pain ends
we'll meet again, the best of friends.
Just as I snuggled in your heart, you're in mine too, we aren't apart.
I watch you from afar and pray,
it's time to heal, heal some each day.
Please dry those tears and smile for me,
and know at last that I am free.
There is no pain or suffering here.
The sun shines brightly everywhere.
There isn't even one cross look,
it's not allowed here in His book.
No clouds of gray will gather here,
no storms will ever threaten.
We are at peace here,
and the Bridge is Heaven.
I lost a special friend today
the kind you can't replace,
and looking at his empty bed
I still can see his face.
I know he's in a special place
our Lord has for such friends,
Where meadows, fields & flowers
help make them strong and whole again.
I know he's watching over me
He'll be with me when I cry,
So with one more kiss on his beloved head
I told my friend goodbye.
