Broken Heart

My heart stopped beating

I went through the motions

I lost everything

I held you for hours

the day you left

Not knowing what to do

I found this site

still holding onto you

Through swollen eyes

I began a tribute

I had to do something

Trying to make it right

Trying desperatley to back up time

Make you come back

I finally placed you in a box

Into the freezer

After hours of holding you

Something told me to still be a mom

to take care of you

A year and a half I came to the freezer to brush you

place you back.

Many a night I slept in the kitchen by you

Touching the freezer door

The pain too much to take

Then Mr Eddy came to be

I gently sent you to him

Four months without you

I was falling apart at my wits end

I called every Friday and wrote letters to you weekly

Finally your journey has come around

You are home again

In my arms safe and sound

I miss you so much

I will try to make you proud

I have you to hold my warrior oh so bold

I do not have you walking about

That is what I need

I know you are with me

I can feel you

Soon we will fly together again

It will not be long now

I am not afraid

I know you are by my side

You will show me the ropes

I know you'll again protect Mom

We will take off on our glider

Never to part

We for eternity are a packaged deal
