 "There is a light that shines by my side both morning and the night
it glows from within my heart is never out of sight.
It warms my heart so much inside and along my dark black furr,
if you listen closely and look into my eyes you'll hear my heartbeat purr.
I feel the love this light does carry within my very soul,
It makes me smile from inside and truly makes me whole.
It carries so much meaning of a mother I truly love,
that gave me such endless friendship thanking the lord above.
This light that shines never leaves it forever keeps me warm,
its light is bright through the brightest night and the darkest storm.
It never leaves me only shines and forever it will be,
the sweetest feeling in the world hidden within me.
Though the years may pass this light will never ever leave,
I know its owner rather well and with this I believe.
I believe this light I know well and am forever fond,
cements the friendship I still know and within it holds a bond.
A bond so strong it cannot break no matter what the year,
it holds my joys drowns my sorrows and drowns out all my tears.
It makes me whole protects me well within its golden hand,
it shines so bright I feel its strength within this promised land.
The light that holds my dearest friend will always be the key,
that unlocks my fondest years and sweetest of memory.
This light will shine on the porch within the winters rain,
it sooths my heartbeat well and always calls my name.
It makes me smile from inside within its very touch,
the love I feel is far by real and loved by me so much.
It will never leave this light will shine forever along my way,
until the path leads us home, together we will stay.
Though Im not there my heart stands still at this magical sight,
from the morning sitting by the chair until our moonlit night.
So thank you for always shining bright and forever we'll remain,
nothing has ever changed I'm by you just the same.
I hear your words and feel your light and the sparkle within your eyes,
I dry your tears if you could see we never said goodbye.
So keep this light shining lets sit in our favorite chair,
lets spend the night talking while you pet my lonesome hair.
