Balloons sent to Ginger on her 1st Angel Day

It has been 1 year since we said good-bye to you, our beautiful little girl.  It is hard to believe that you have been gone for a year...time seems to have stood still, yet it seems like forever since I have held you in my arms.

Thank you for the wonderful 15 years that you gave to us, it just didn't seem long enough.  You were truly a blessing, and you taught us so many things about unconditional love.   

I think back to our last night together, and even though you were in such pain, I just couldn't bear the thought of letting you go.  It was the hardest decision that we ever made in our lives.  I would have done anything to have been able to keep you with us a little longer, but then I guess that still would not have been long enough.

My heart will forever have a hole in it, because the day that we said good-bye, a piece of it went with you.

It's Ginger's 1st  Year Angel Day ...

Luna smiles, come on ... I think they are ready for us now ... Did you happen to see all the pink balloons, yes I thought you might. Ginger gets all happy tapping on her tiny toes, Come on Luna are they ready yet, she peeks in throught the door and motions Ginger on, as soon as she sticks her head in they all yell "SURPRISE, HAPPY ANGEL DAY GINGER!!! As she walks to the centerof the room she smiles, Pink is everywhere, little pink ribbons and bows, balloons, toys, even a new soft plush pink cloud ... OMG I've got a pink cloud ... Luna smiles, and a pink pillow and blanket too, ones with your name on and and tiny pink hearts too...Ginger, in all the world no one loved you more than your mama, but now it's our turn, WE LOVE YOU!!!

Message to my family from Ginger...

I know that it must be different, now that I am no longer there.

I realized how much I was loved and how all of you did care.

I know it will be hard at first when you look around for me.

Expecting to find me in my bed or beside my favorite tree.

Someday you will begin to see, although it will take some time.

The happy times you shared with  me, the memories are yours and mine.

I'll remember you, my family, and how much you meant to me.

So please don't grieve and don't be sad, it was just my time to leave.
