This is in memory of our beloved Duke. He was tragically hit and taken from us way too soon. He was so young.
He was our son Nick's dog, but everyone that knew him loved him. After Nick moved out, we went through Duke withdrawls, he was kind enough to grant us puppy visitation!! My husband would pick Duke up on Tuesdays and return him on Thursday. Nick was so happy when we got our Tucker from the same bloodline, but 1 year younger!!
My husband's folks got Emma the same time that we got Duke. Brother and sister were very close! Nana and Papa did Doggy daycare while we were all working. It was perfect as they are retired
I was a little surprised by Nick's decision to have Duke cremated. I was delighted and very proud of my son for being so generous again with his precious Duke, as he gave an urn to Nana and Papa, one to us, and of course kept one for himself. Just seeing my son in this much pain is so hard.
Duke was so kind, he was a gental soul. The bond that he and Nick had was unreal. The pain that we are all feeling is the kind that is held only for those we love the most. It is awful. He will be greatly missed by so many, people and critters alike. You can see how beautiful he was. Please check out his album!
We will love you forever Dukey. You too Nick!!
