The Puppy Days!

Hi Everybody!  Molly here!  And what a treat you’re in for!  A few months after my first “angel-versary”, my family discovered a photo album with some of my baby pictures in it, much to their delight, and so I have decided to share my baby pictures here with all of you.  I mean after all, weren’t we all kinda cute when we were little?  So why not show that cuteness off!  Now, clearly these photos were taken after a long day of heavy playing and activity – you know, enough to poop me out long enough to sit still for some photos.  Oh sure, I was a real cuddly sweetheart as a pup, but I also really did enjoy being that wild little “golden hurricane” that Skye wrote about on my “Tale of Two Best Friends” page.  But on this page, it is all about looking back on my early beginnings when I was just a little sprout…. And was just as cute as can be!

Well, here I am as a young whipper-snapper.  Wasn’t I just adorable?  Look at me sitting there with my little paws crossed like a precious little angel.  Do you realize that I would still sometimes sit that way when I was all grown up, long into my senior years?  I guess that was my “sittin’ pretty” pose.

Uh oh…. I think I’ve spotted little Hannah, the psycho kitty!

Yep, it’s Hannah alright.  Boy, she sure looks like she would be fun to play with!  I would be tempted to pounce on her, but I have been warned that she just might scratch my eyes out if I wasn’t careful!

But I digress…. Here I am back again looking beautiful.

Oh wait…. Is that a bug on the rug?

Speaking of rugs….When I was little, I sure loved to sack out on any rug I could find, no matter where it was in the house….

And I would sack out in all kinds of flexible puppy positions.  Here I am laying in the comfy “frog leg” position.  How cute am I?

It’s hard to believe that I once fit under that kitchen table!

Of course, I was happy laying just about anywhere if it was near my family – and looking gorgeous, of course.  And look at my big paws!  Wow!  I bet my family was worried that I would grow up to be a pony!

Oh yeah, here I am starting to learn how to put on the “sad puppy eyes” (you know, just in case I ever needed them for anything).  All dogs know that “sad puppy eyes” can come in handy.  Plus, this photo shows off my pretty golden coat much better than some of the other photos.

Here I am after I got the “sad puppy eyes” technique down pretty well.

In this photo, I think I had more or less mastered the “sad eyes”.  Not bad for such a young pup!

And adorable sad puppy eyes will get you what you want every time…. Like one of my favorite things as a pup – belly rubs!

What?  Another photo shoot, Mom?  Well, I do look rather stunning today, so I guess one more picture won’t hurt.

Okay…. one more….

Mom! …. You said just one more!

C’mon Mom…. I know you love me, but I’m a hyper puppy here!  You know I naturally have ants in my little fuzzy pants!  I want to get down and play!

Sorry Mom – Time’s up!  I’m jumping ship!  (Well, I’m jumping off of the couch anyway!).

Yay!  Playtime!

Ah Ha!  I’ve spotted a new toy! à Crazy Hannah!  Though I learned she was as fun to play with as a cactus!  And what was with all the spitting and the creepy hissing sounds?  Seems to me I wasn’t the only one who needed to work on my manners!

Once in awhile, I would slip into deep thought while in the middle of playing.  I have always been a very deep thinker, ya know.  Skye often referred to me as “The Great Molly-Lama” for that very reason.

And sometimes as I sat and pondered, I would have “potty thoughts” – and I would hope somebody noticed that I was having “potty thoughts” before it was too late!

And sometimes I just sat and looked huggably, snuggably, kissably, adorably cute!

Hmm…. Now, what can I get into next?

Well, I’m not so sure I had snow in mind!  Brrrrrrr!  This was my very first experience with snow.  I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first.

But then I got used to it and it was pretty fun!  Don’t I look cute with snow on my nose?

After a lot of fun romping and playing on my first day in the snow, this is me sitting with a frozen little tushy, wanting to go back inside.  Time to go get all warm and snuggly again!

Well, that wraps up my beautiful baby pictures.  I wish to extend my sincerest “thank you” to all of you who stopped by to see them.  I sure don’t know where the years went – they went by so quickly.  It seems like just yesterday that I was that spunky little lovable “golden hurricane” whom Skye so fondly wrote about.  But through the years, I gathered up a lifetime of wonderful memories and a whole lot of love – all of which I will carry with me forever in my heart.  The words of Bernard S. Siegel, M.D. are so very true:  “While we (humans) struggle to figure out why we were put here on Earth, all a dog wants is to love and be loved – a powerful lesson for us all”.

Please feel free to stop back by my memorial in the future, as more pages will be added over time.  Thanks again for stopping by.  Your visit is greatly appreciated.

Big Hugs & Dog Kisses!

Love,

Molly
