In loving memory of our BooBoo who we loved so much. BooBoo will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever. He came to us as a rescue and we were to be his foster care parents until a forever home could be found. After three adoption attempts that did not work out, we promised Boo that we would be his forever parents. And so the journey began.......
Enjoying the sunshine
BooBoo was unique in so many ways. His life is a testimony that the will to live is so strong and that animals know who they want to be with and will fight against all odds to remain with their human loved ones. There will never be another Boo. But one day, we will see him again.
Posing for the camera
BooBoo was well known in our neighborhood. He had the classic Basset Hound howl and he certainly liked to hear himself "sing". No creature, two-footed or four-footed, could ever come on our property without the welcoming "arrroooooo" just to let you know he was on duty. At times, it could be annoying because he didn't know when to stop. But now I would give anything to hear his song once again.
"Our animals shepherd us through certain eras of our lives. When we are ready to turn the corner and make it on our own...they let us go."
"Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends". ....Richard Bach
There is a bond that you can't see
for it's not bound with twine.
It's formed from strands within our souls,
this love that's yours and mine.
When I went home to be with God,
you must now understand,
I took with me this bond of love
and I still hold that strand.
So look now at my photograph.
The smile, you'll quickly see.
But only hearts can see the strand
forever binding You and Me.
Enjoy the precious memories
although we are apart.
We'll share more joys again one day.
I believe that with all my heart.
An angel to watch over you until we are reunited in eternity, sweet Boo..
