"thanks for caring for my Mom and Dad. I love You." Lassie Thank You
June 4, 2009
Thank you for all the caring responses to my article in the Post-Gazette today. Kindness continues to multiply and proves that there is more good in this world then we can ever imagine. Each of you becomes a heart-print on my heart.

We are so grateful! One random act of violence has given birth to a multitude of kindness and we have all grown in compassion and goodness - we will never be the same. Our families, neighbors, friends, co-workers and strangers comforted us with visits, food, cards, gifts, donations and much love and caring. New relationships have formed and others have deepened. The love of a little dog in our lives has been nothing less than a divine grace. She truly was an angel dog.
One stranger sent a letter telling of his own attack in which his dog was injured and later died. Another made it possible for us to buy an urn for Lassie's ashes. Another sent a donation for a memorial. Another sent a check so that we could buy another dog - sharing her love for dogs with me.
I am especially grateful to the stranger who didn't sign her name that told me about critters.com. Whoever you are this has been a real blessing. Thank you.
Thank you to the person who had the idea to create this website. It is a place where we can remember, realize that we are not alone in our grief (and not crazy) and where we can grow in love and compassion for others.
I am glad to be part of this family! Thank you to all who have visited our site and signed our guest book. I am trying to get around to visit each of you. Lassie has already met all your beloved pets - a new family for her in God's House of joy. I am sure His Heart, as human as our own, loves and delights in them.
Thank you from Bernice and Teo (Lassie's Dad).
