my sweet baby dog,you are about to have a BIRTHDAY! Your First in heaven.
I KNOW we will BOTH miss being with each other on your "special day" and often with all the things going on and the rush of the Holidays coming up, we ended up celebrating your Birthday on Thanksgiving weekend, and little girl, you NEVER minded. There were a couple of years where you ended up getting your Birthday gifts in your Christmas stocking because there was so many issues going on in this"blended family" of ours. You NEVER complained. Not once. As long as I would sit with you in the evening with you all cuddled up in my arms, you thought you were in heaven. NOW, Heaven is your home, little one and I cry as I type this. STILL. You THOUGHT you were in Heaven in my arms, BUT I WAS in Heaven when you were with me.
Maddie, mommy still has ALL your birthday toys. You LOVED them, BUT never ruined them. You were STILL playing with them just weeks before the angels came for you. A tear falls EACH time I am in a pet store and I see a toy I had given you. Maddie, I will buy you a new one this year and put it by "your little place".
Mommy will ALWAYS love you, sweatheart, have your fav. peanut-butter treats on Nov. 12. So strange how you were born on the 12th, went to heaven on the 12th when you were 12 yrs old. AND how you came to be my little girl on Feb.12th, 1997.
