You made my days brighter, bright as could be,
and made my smiles longer my dearest memory
You made my heart stronger and now it holds no fear,
just knowing that your spirit is always so near.
For my heart that was once broke has now began to mend,
thank you my guardian angel and my very best friend.
You brought me gifts of insight and gifts I was to find,
from dropped pennies to a Corgi so kind.
You gave me so many treasures that I had never known,
discovering them along the way as you flew slowly home.
I will never forget the touch of your fluffy white hair,
or those dark brown eyes that always stood and stared.
Or that rubbery nose and the feel of your girth,
my very best friend an angel on this earth.
So always stay near but now enjoy your home,
I know you never left, in my dreams you do roam.
I see you in the fields with a smile upon your face
knowing you romp golden pastures in your brand new place.
For this makes me smile just knowing I always knew
an angel so grand, handsome and so beautiful as you.
