Here I sit in your room, yes, it is still your room. Boy Kitty is laying next to the keyboard (he has learned how to jump up and not step on the keys). Spitter is outside the door, doing what spitter does - spitting, and hollering. Stubman is hanging with Kona outside in the cat cage - ah, some things never change.
We have all evolved. Your siblings have changed since you left us. Esmerelda (Spitter) was deemed healthy on her lab work a couple weeks ago. I commented to your other Mommy that 20 months ago we were worried about Esme dying because of how sick she had gotten. Then, you had to leave us... I never considered it, well maybe I did, but not really... well, maybe... you had trouble with bathroom stuff and well, that never meant you'd leave us??!! We have never gone back to Dr. No (not spelled right), I blame her for not telling us more (I no longer harbor bad things)... you were at the doctor on Saturday, then left us the following Friday. I still remember Mommy telling me I should get some pictures of you (I think it was Sunday) cuz you were sitting so cute by the back door. Those are the last pictures I have of you except for the one I had Mommy take when you were on my lap- before we took you in.
then there is Boy Kitty - he's not as skidish anymore, he no longer tries to climb out of the cat cage- I call him an old man now. He taps me on the shoulder at night to get loved up... he is sweet and annoying at times (when he won't stop trying to wake me at 3am) -
Ah, the 'cat cage'. What solution is there for Maui (not the other two at the time) so she can go outside and still be safe - answer - the 'cat cage'... I have rebuilt it a couple times, getting better each time and making it bigger as well. I remember before the cat cage, no one was allowed to go outside EXCEPT YOU!
ah, Stub man... he is losing some of that weight he gained after you left. I wish I knew what you did to keep them away from the dishes when we were gone... Intimidation? ha, I bet! Good for you, my little Mow-Cow :-)
then there is Kona - named after you. She's a little stinker, was very shy at first, but about six months ago she started to be more friendly - she's also obsessed with her food dish like you were... Maybe some of your spirit lives on? |
