Cody, you have been a part of my life ever since I first started high school and here I am now, 16 years later, saying goodbye.  Words cannot express how painful it was seeing you pass as you've been a major part of my life growing up.  I'm glad that I was there with you until the very end when you took your last breath on my arm.  I know that you're in a better place now where you will never have to suffer anymore.  I was so fortunate to have you in my life for so long.  You have been there for me from the worst of my days to the greatest and for that, I am forever grateful.  Thank you for all the joy and happiness you brought me throughout the years.  I will never forget those memories and I will surely never forget you.  I now truly understand the meaning of man's best friend after sharing most of my life with you because you were just that - my best friend.  I will always love you, buddy.

4-9-13 - It's unbelievable how quick a year has passed since I last wrote this.  So much has changed in just a year, yet there hasn't been a day where I stopped thinking about you, buddy.  I'm sitting here thinking about how I would do just about anything to hold you again.  I'm thankful that I still have a place here to remind me of all those priceless memories we shared.  You'll never be forgotten!
