Dear Mittens,
Hello, sweetheart! How are you, my little girl? Oh, you were so pretty, and so dainty, too. You were a very smart girl, and an expert in the outdoors. You were so sweet, and got along so well with all your kitty family members. You were a little timid of other people, but would always let Mommy pet you, sweetie...
I remember when you were very young, and you had such a bad sickness, and Daddy and I took you to our vet, and he was the best vet ever--I've never found one like him since...They ran tests on you, and Daddy and I left you at the hospital and still they could only find a tiny wound on your chest, after all your hospitalization and testing. I think you were there two or three days. You pulled through that, baby, and I remember standing in the examining room with you on the table and Daddy to my left, and the wonderful young vet across the table, and tears were streaming down my face as he didn't know what else could be done. I was literally crying in front of the vet, with huge tears rolling, and I couldn't stop them. Amazingly, it seems that overnight you started to turn around, and you were a real trooper, sweetie!
Even later, when we found a lump in your abdomen, the vet said don't open you up; don't test it; let's watch it. My goodness, sweetheart--you kept that same lump in your little abdomen your entire life and it never changed and you lived to such a good, long age, honey! You were one tough little cookie!
Mommy misses you, and I love you, sweetie...I'm so glad you were part of our family, and you will always be in my heart, little girl...
I love you,
Your Mommy Forever and Ever
