Kemper

Eleven years ago I went to the SPCA in Blacksburg, VA to find a buddy for our other dog, Beauregaurd.  I was drawn to your little white streak on your forehead and energetic puppy behavior.  We brought you home after a short wait and you and Beau became friends instantly.  You carried around this stuffed bunny until eventually all the stuffing was taken out.  But you didn't care, you kept the shell of the bunny and drug it along where ever you went.  You traveled with me from Virginia to Louisiana back to Virginia and eventually we stayed put in New Jersey.  Your namesake is General Kemper, a general who was from Virginia and complimented your best pal named after General Beauregard, a general who was from Louisiana .  Our first days together we walked along a trail in Radford and every time I called you back, you came.  I thought you would like water but as the years went on, that was far from the truth. Melissa, Dylan, Delaney and I said a pray for you and hope you are running side by side Beau, who we lost just two months prior. I'm going to miss that Beagle bark and the softness of your fur.  You loved the kids unconditionally and couldn't wait for them to spill or drop or feed you anything from their plates. I love you buddy, my best friend.

Kemper you will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.
